Conversations with Marigene Althea Macob

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marigene Althea Macob.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Started with just passion behind myself, self-confidence, accountability & self-awareness and brought me where I am today. Still working progress but definitely working towards my passion.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The struggles was definitely, a lot of self-doubt questioning if this is the path for me, if this is something aligns with God’s purpose. Self-limiting beliefs based from my culture. Such as not everyone in your family going to believe in you due to the fact that they don’t believe in passion but only believe in the financial gain or out of their normal careers and passions. Not everyone supporting you because of how they viewed you from your past life.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am currently taking a pause within my women life coaching, But I am also a model managed by Rayah Cooper. Currently known to be an entrepreneur. I am most proud of the passion behind of what I do, I believe working with women who went through the same struggles as me. And the fulfillment that I get that when they change their perspective about themselves and finding their own identity that doesn’t rely upon their actual career… As far as modeling, My main goal is to change the narrative how women who’s only 5’1 and also on thicker side can be a model. As far as changing what the generation’s perspective when it comes modeling. How can you be sexy and seductive with fully clothed on, which leads to real confidence, transparency, feminity.

What sets me apart from is I try to incorporate my life experiences through art. A confidence that doesn’t rely on external validation but my own passion and a drive that doesn’t just rely on financial gain but changing the perspective of many.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
My ideal scene is to change the narrative of you can achieve self-love by not living off people’s validation. Another one of my goals is owning multiple schools in the Philippines that focuses on mental health (self-love, confidence, self-awareness, healing) and entrepreneurship. I believe in my culture, there’s a lot of self-limiting beliefs such as not dreaming bigger because of lacking of resources as far as career & education.

As far as modeling, I aim to work with bigger brands that can help me develop my platform so I can attract a larger audience that can reach my passion.
