Today we’d like to introduce you to Mid Official
Hi Mid, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a recording artist from Denver, Colorado. I’ve been in California for the past 21 months. Living in my car, and pursuing music full-time. I moved to Las Vegas in September of 2022, and ended up unexpectedly moving to California two months later. I have been here every since. Which makes for a grand total of 23 months that ive been on the west coast.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been the smoothest of Roads because I live in my car, but it hasn’t been the roughest of roads either. Although I live in my car. I am still blessed to have a roof over my head, because I know a lot of people are in far worse situations. So I am very grateful for this, and I thank God daily for bringing me this far on my journey and keeping a roof over my head. One of the struggles i go through because I haven’t become successful yet. Is not always being able to accomplish the things I want to. When it comes to recording new songs, shooting music videos, and traveling to other states, and cities to promote. Not being able to sleep in a bed and take hot showers reguarly is something I go through as well. But once again I am very blessed, because God still provides a way for me to make it and push forward in my musical journey. I also have not went one day without being able to eat a meal. It might not be the best of meals. But once again, I am still blessed because there are a lot of people that don’t eat everyday.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a rapper. I’m not a Christian rapper, but a Christian that raps. I am known for my music of course, and also being able to connect with people from all different walks and backgrounds of life. I am proud of myself in general. For making it this far on my journey, and being able to accomplish the things that I have accomplished. As a independent artist with no record label or major backing. Especially being in the living situation I am in. As far as a particular project I am most proud of. I am currently most proud of the music video for my latest single “Beach Party” that I shot, directed, and edited myself. Which can be seen on youtube at youtube.com/realmidofficial and can be heard on all digital streaming platforms.
What does success mean to you?
Success in my eyes. Is accomplishing the particular goals that you set out to accomplish.
