Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike & Jenn Edwards.
Hi Mike & Jenn, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We have always wanted to invest in real estate. We would talk about it all the time. Then one day it just became apparent to us. Get your real estate licenses God said. So, we set in our hearts to do just that. Between doing our part and waiting on the Department of Real Estate, it took about 12 months and it was done. We BOTH passed the state exam the FIRST time and it wasn’t easy!! But we did it!!! And because The Mike & Jenn Experience has worked so well for our photography and video production company, we knew we could transfer that over to a new business and continue to serve our clients with the same servant’s attitude. So here we are!!! Growing a real estate business learning all we can, providing our clients with The Mike & Jenn Experience, and setting ourselves up to invest in what we believe to be great assets!!!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nope! Haha. I think the biggest thing as it is so in most areas of life is patience. We got all our studies done and then waited months for the department of real estate to do their thing. Such as life!! But in the meantime, we were able to dig into our goals and visions for this new business. Because we already run a business together and have for almost 12 years, knowing how to partner together is something we have already learned and are still growing in. We are also married and have been for over 13 years so learning how to operate in our strengths and stay in our lanes is something we value in ourselves and one another. Plus, we pray… A LOT!! 🙂
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We believe that which sets us apart is there is no other Mike & Jenn. We are unique individuals that bring something to the table that compliments each other. Two will always be better than one. And even though we are one in marriage, we each have our own sets of strengths. Mike is a creative and social media is one of his strengths. While Jenn is more of an extrovert so meetings, phone calls, and networking are strengths. This makes us unstoppable!! Together we are more, and this is where a lot of “experiencing the difference” comes into play. Partnering with us brings more than basic results and solutions to your problems, it brings a warmness that comes from humanity, a level of customer service that has been forgotten in most businesses, and a heart to serve. We live this out in every area of life!! Even marriage. Mike and I believe our key success in marriage is that we compete to serve one another, always putting the needs of each other before ourselves.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
We were reminded that it’s important to know who you are and what you stand for before the opportunity arises to express it. And that standing on your values & beliefs comes with a price. Most importantly grace and love abound in all situations.
