Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Blooms.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I come from a hospitality background; doing restaurant management for about 15 years. I was working in a boutique hotel here in San Diego where we hosted a lot of edgy, chic weddings. My mind was completely blown because I was exposed to a whole new side of event decor and design and I knew I had to be a part of it. I basically started doing friends’ weddings and really whoever would allow me to do their wedding. I just kept going despite every challenge I may have faced and here we are today.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Of course, it has not been a smooth road, I would doubt that anyone who answers this question would say that entrepreneurship is a smooth road. I believe that the biggest and important thing is knowing that your dream is bigger than any obstacle that you may face.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an event stylist and florist who specializes in weddings, tv commercials, and luxury events. Each event that we style is completely custom. We are adamant about working with each client individually to create the experience of the dreams.
Other than flowers, we also offer arch rentals, custom aisle decor, table decor rentals, and so much more. We also build custom pieces with our in-house fabrication team.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson for me has been to advocate for myself and those that I care about. There are a lot of people who don’t do business out of passion or artistry but simply for the money, and because of this, some people don’t care who they take advantage of along the way. Experiencing this, I am more mindful of how I am valuing my work and the work of my team.
