Conversations with Nazli Takesh Boshell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nazli Takesh Boshell.

Nazli Takesh Boshell

Hi Nazli Takesh, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was a sociology and criminal justice major in college, and worked at a financial firm when I graduated. Life took some unexpected turns and I ended up in a yoga teacher training that changed my life! From that program I knew I had so much more to give the world, and I’ve been studying and teaching in the wellness space ever since!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes and no. Smooth in that I have always felt an abundance of opportunities come my way, and this truly feels like the work I am meant to do. But I have dealt with my fair share of rejection, self-doubt, and feeling like I just want to give up. One of my biggest challenges has been understanding what it takes to be an entrepreneur and be completely in charge of my successes and failures. Working for yourself and making it work in this (or any) industry means a lot of hustle (at times), a lot of determination, the ability to turn rejections and failures into lessons and keep going. It’s hard, but I love it, and that’s why I continue to do it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I lead classes, workshops, retreats and trainings centered around yoga, sound journeys, and holistic wellness. Specifically I have a deep love for leading creative vinyasa yoga classes and transformational sound baths, and for teaching others how to lead these as well. I love to create an event out of everything I do, and my workshops, trainings, and retreats are skillfully curated with intention to educate and empower those who attend. I am most proud of creating a business and life out of this! These practices changed my life and gave me hope and happiness, and I have found a way to accessibly share these things with others. I also think my ability to share deep and abstract information in a tangible and palatable way is something that sets me apart. I love taking ancient wisdom and sharing it in a way to impact our modern lives. I’ve dedicated my life to these practices, and I believe it shows.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Practices that help our mental health and wellness will continue to become more and more important to people. I only see this industry getting bigger and more mainstream, and with that the need for authentic, kind, and professional creatives will increase. My mentality is that there is plenty for all of us, and authenticity will continue to win and inspire!
