Conversations with Nia Petty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nia Petty

Hi Nia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m originally from a small town in Alabama. At 16, I opened my own T-shirt company, and I’ve loved creating ever since. After graduating high school, I joined the military and served in the U.S. Navy for five years. I realized that I truly enjoy serving others, which led me to branch out into the beauty industry. When I discovered lashing, I found it challenging to find products that worked for me, so, like any entrepreneur, I decided to create my own.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur is never easy. One of the challenges I’m still learning to navigate is work-life balance. When you’re an entrepreneur, it often feels like you’re working 24/7, especially when you’re handling everything on your own. I understand that pressure, but it’s crucial to make time for yourself. If you don’t, it can lead to burnout.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I sell quality lash products to lash techs and Lash Brat Supply has a nostalgic vibe that helps me stand out among other suppliers. I quickly became known for having unique products with eye catching designs that no one else offers. What I’m most proud of in my business is the incredible support I’ve gained in such a short amount of time. I believe my creativity truly sets me apart from others.
We also have our supplies in store at Lash Supply Co in Chula Vista.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5 to 10 years, I plan to own my own supply store—or multiple stores—and mentor those interested in starting their own businesses in any part of the beauty industry. The beauty industry constantly introduces new and exciting things/products, so you never know what to expect.
