Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Shatter.
Hi Patrick, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
When I was a kid, my parents got my first guitar. I would spend countless hours in my room playing and listening to music. My childhood dream was to be a rock star. As I got into my teens and early, I started playing in different bands and performing all over so cal. I got into fitness when I was 18 and that’s when I discovered my love for peanut butter. I found out through my research that nut butters were a very nutrient-dense and protein pack snack. I would use the nut butters to fuel my workouts and help keep me on track to meet my nutritional requirements for my training. Over time I started to experiment with my own formulas, textures, and flavors. I found that a blend of peanuts cashews and coconut make for a great texture and taste!
Rockstar in a jar is what this special blend is called. I started to incorporate elements from my music days into the nut butters. When you come to one of our events, we provide a VIP rockstar experience for our customers. We pair our nut butters with an audio and visual experience like a concert. It’s more than just nut butter, it’s an experience!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Any time that you decide to do something out of the norm it’s never a smooth road because you’re blazing your own trail. There’s many struggles you have to overcome when you’re doing your own thing. Some of those struggles come from within and some of the struggles come from outside.
A lack of belief in yourself and a lack of education will severely hinder your chances of pushing through to get to the other side. Most people are surrounded by people that will tell you “Starting a business is hard” “most business fail” “you better have a plan b” the list of self-limiting belief statements can go on and on. Even if you aren’t easily influenced, other people’s statements will have an effect on you. Pair that with a lack of education on starting something. This can be a recipe for self-doubt. Odds are your first attempt at starting something up won’t go as you imagine it and that can leave many people to doubt themselves and give up. One thing that’s very important is the self-talk you give to yourself and to keep the dream alive because it will never be smooth sailing. If it was easy everyone would be doing it.

My family is very important to me and that also includes my closest friends. The people you surround yourself with have a huge impact on your happiness and success. When you’re doing difficult things it’s important to have the support system in place so you can handle the challenges.
