Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Fields. 

Hi Paul, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
MVA was birthed to serve the needs of customers within the apparel and headwear industry, period! Coming from a branding background, I understand the struggles and frustrations when it comes to production and my goal was simply to eliminate that stress. 

Starting with a small number of clients, MVA quickly grew through word of mouth provided by our clients. It’s like that saying in the movie Field of Dreams, ‘if you build it, they will come”. To add to that, if you build it and provide outstanding customer service, they will come. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The initial struggle was scaling the business without spending money on marketing. As a startup, cash flow is king, and I chose to focus on staying the course and going above and beyond for the clients I had. 

I did reach out to acquaintances who had businesses that needed apparel and I was able to land new clients who then helped me scale by word of mouth. You have to be willing to put your neck out there and trust in your ability to help other people grow their business. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My specialties are in graphic design, fashion design, bulk production, and brand management. I owed 3 apparel brands back in Australia for 14 years and experienced every aspect of running an apparel business. I did everything initially from design to sampling, production, sales, shipping, and marketing. Understanding every aspect from A to Z has given me the skills and knowledge to help and consult our clients. That is what sets MVA apart from other production facilities and print houses. We not only provide a great production service, but we also consult and help our clients understand the best practices to scale their business. 

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Putting your clients’ needs first and going the extra mile for them. Hard work and dedication will always pay off.
