Hi Rachel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hey there, I’m Rachel — a 29-year-old loving mom of 1, wife, and a proud small business owner living by the beach in beautiful Oceanside, California.
My journey into the world of beauty began in 2013, when I started doing makeup for my friends’ proms and special events. What began as a weekend passion quickly evolved into a true calling, eventually leading me to professional opportunities—most notably, working with MAC Cosmetics. Each experience deepened my love for the art of makeup and confirmed that this wasn’t just a hobby—it was a lifelong pursuit.
Along the way, I also discovered how much I value exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for others. This realization led me to explore the luxury industry, where I knew I could expand both my personal and professional growth.
I’m incredibly grateful for the time I spent in luxury hospitality at the legendary Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel, where I received Forbes 5-Star training. It was there that I gained invaluable insights into service, professionalism, and excellence—along with the rare opportunity to connect with high-profile clients, CEOs, and even celebrities.
That specific chapter of my life has forever shaped my commitment to service, professionalism, and delivering memorable experiences — values I now bring into every appointment with my clients today.
It wasn’t until August of 2023 that my long-time dream of working for myself finally became a reality with the launch of Rachel Roses Beauty—my very own makeup business built from years of passion, experience, and dedication. Stepping into this new chapter was both exciting and deeply personal. Around the same time, I also embraced two of the most meaningful roles in my life: becoming a wife and a mother. These transformative milestones have grounded me, shifted my perspective, and given me a renewed sense of purpose.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey to building my business hasn’t been easy. It took years of dedication, long hours, and unwavering determination to turn my vision into reality. In the early stages, I often questioned whether I would ever achieve my goal of becoming a business owner—especially while balancing the demands of working in retail and customer service. Limited time and resources made the process even more challenging. But now, approaching 30, I’m deeply grateful that I never gave up on my dream.

My business is known for its distinctive approach to makeup artistry, with a special focus on bridal beauty. With over a decade of experience in the wedding industry—starting at just 17—I’ve witnessed trends evolve and developed a refined, timeless aesthetic. My goal is always to create a comfortable, personalized experience for each client, never just a transaction.
My background in luxury hospitality, including Forbes Five-Star training at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, has shaped the high level of service I provide. I bring warmth, professionalism, and genuine care to every interaction.
What sets me apart is my philosophy: I don’t aim to make clients look like everyone else. Instead, I enhance their natural beauty—so they feel like the best, most confident version of themselves.

While I’m naturally a logical thinker with a strong emotional drive, I approach my business with intentionality and great care. Every detail that represents my brand is thoughtfully planned and executed. The greatest risk I’ve taken was leaving the security of my 9-to-5 job to pursue my business full-time—a decision rooted in my belief that true growth and fulfillment as a business owner come from going all in.
