Conversations with Ralph Montecino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ralph Montecino

Hi Ralph, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Ralph Montecino III, but many of my followers know me as DrunkGhostAdventures on my social media platforms, such as TikTok and Instagram. It has been over 3 years since I started sharing my outdoor adventures throughout Southern California. I originally started my page on TikTok showcasing the amazing hikes we have in the in the Inland empire then once I started gaining the support and interaction from my community, I decided it was time to branch out into new areas in California. This led me to meet wonderful people while showing breathtaking view, such as Annie’s Canyons in San Diego which has become one of my most popular videos. If you had told me 3 years ago, I would be standing here with the platform I have today I would have not believed this, but I am grateful I get to share a piece of my work in ways that inspire others to go out and enjoy nature as well.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I feel that every content creator comes across with the struggle of finding ways to be creative even when we are not always up to the challenge. As someone who lost both parents at a young age, I have found that the presence of nature has helped me heal throughout my grieving journey in ways I cannot explain.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My platform is known for sharing the beautiful places in Southern California. This varies from amazing hikes, activities for couples and families, giving back to local businesses, and most importantly leave no trace behind! It is important as a community that we take care of our hikes in order to preserve them for our future generations.

What matters most to you? Why?
That we as a community are able to enjoy the wonders, we are able to call home, or use as an escape from reality while leaving it better than we found it. It is important we continue to keep our hikes clean so we can continue visiting throughout the years. I could have not done this without the encouragement of my family, friends, and spoiled beautiful cat Willow. Thank you for helping me break out of my shell to create a special platform.
