Hi Salvador, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
ESNZ Athletics comes from my background as an athlete. I’ve played sports my whole life; playing soccer, practicing karate, and running crossc country & track races. I always felt the connection of mindset and motion to be spiritual. When I went to college and started studying philosophy because it took some time to realize that being a philosopher was my calling. I gravitated a lot with ideas of Existentialism and the phrase that clearly described it as ‘existence precedes essence.’ Inspired with that phrase, I came up with the ESNZ Athletics slogan ‘Seek within. Achieve beyond.’
This slogan resonates with my love for sport (especially running) and the urge to share powerful words, that could resonate with others, who want to find their best & healthiest selves; seek a sense of their essence.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No smooth rides. The struggle comes from the lack of resources. Finding the places that have the things that you need. Meaning; fabricators, printing presses, technical support, licensing, and structural management. The idea, the logo, the slogan, & the goal. Was the easiest part.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the moment, I’m a host/waiter in Harumama in Little Italy. However, most people know me as the runner who talks a lot about the ideas that are running in his mind (lolz). And I would have to say that I’m proud of uniquely presenting myself as that guy but in an engaging, friendly, and caring manner.
