Conversations with Samantha Fackler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Fackler.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I spent years climbing the corporate marketing ladder at companies like LinkedIn and Adobe, eventually becoming a Fractional CMO for high-growth startups. I was running full-scale marketing teams, mentoring directors, and coaching founders. But it was that last part that hooked me: Coaching founders became the thing I looked forward to most.

I didn’t realize at the time that almost every successful founder has a coach, and I quickly fell in love with the practice. I also learned that coaching can get a bad rap, so I got certified through Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute because I wanted to do it right.

But even as my career was taking off, I was burning out. My husband and I had just found our dream place by the beach. My sister was getting married. All these incredible things were happening, and I felt dull inside. My nervous system was exhausted. I couldn’t fully feel the joy of these once-in-a-lifetime moments, and I wanted to be able to show up fully for the coaching sessions I looked forward to most in my work.

That was my sign: I left corporate in 2023 to build my coaching practice full-time.

I quickly noticed my background created something unique. I blend executive coaching with marketing strategy and an intuitive, energetic approach. I’d been exploring meditation and energy healing for years to stay grounded through the chaos of corporate life. In the coaching room, I realized I could pull those modalities in—guided visualizations, meditations, nervous system techniques—customized to how each client processes information and finds their breakthroughs.

Now I work with ambitious women entrepreneurs and execs through private coaching. I host a podcast called Confessions of a Spiritual Entrepreneur. I also run a free community here in San Diego with both virtual resources and in-person events like coworking days for women business owners.

My clients are go-getters who know that having a strategic thought partner in their back pocket can transform not just what they’re building, but how they experience their lives. The moment at the end of a session when they light up because they’ve had a breakthrough? They call it an “unlock,” and witnessing that is why I do this work.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not even close. One of the biggest struggles was something I call the Fun House Effect. I can do corporate brand and marketing work in my sleep, but applying that expertise to my own business? Totally different story. When you’re inside your own expertise, everything gets distorted. It took me way longer than expected to dial in my brand and marketing. I eventually got there, but the road was rough.

Finding the right coaches and team took time too. You think you know what you need, then you realize you need something completely different.
The loneliness surprised me. After working with teams for years at big companies and agencies, I didn’t realize how isolating it would feel building on your own. Working from home, coffee shops, coworking spaces. Now I have my community that helps with this, but it took time to build that too.

The bright spot has been growing the podcast – it was completely unexpected and it’s something that has exploded my network and acts as a valuable standalone resource for my audience. I enjoy sharing the vulnerabilities of being an entrepreneur who is pursuing a business that is aligned and focused on impact.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I help women entrepreneurs untangle the overwhelm, rewire their subconscious patterns, and find clarity so they can build businesses that feel aligned with their deepest selves, not just profit-driven. A lot of my clients come to me in growth mode but feeling stuck. They’re thinking through launches, pricing, their brand, how to lead their team. They’ve spent too many nights awake turning something over in their mind, and they need someone in their corner to help them sort it out.

I specialize in blending executive coaching with marketing strategy and an intuitive approach. I’m Berkeley certified in executive coaching and spent 13+ years in marketing at companies like LinkedIn, Adobe, PayPal, and high-growth startups. But I also bring in energy healing modalities like guided visualizations and nervous system techniques as a certified Reiki Master. I customize everything to how each client processes information and finds their breakthroughs.

What sets me apart is the combo of all three worlds: Fortune 500 marketing expertise, Berkeley executive coaching training, and an energy healing background. I can switch between strategic advisor and intuitive coach depending on what the client needs in the moment. Plus, I’ve been the burnt-out, ambitious, doing-all-the-things founder myself. I get it.

What does success mean to you?
Most people define success as hitting a goal. To me, it’s living a life that feels resourced and spacious. Room to explore and live our full, multifaceted lives.
Too many people concentrate on monetary wealth and forget that there’s also wealth in time, energy, and relationships. Alignment in all those things means success is inevitable. It’s just hard to stick to that track when your own ego or outside pressures push you off course.

That’s why I focus so much on alignment with my clients. When you’re building from a place that feels right, the external markers of success follow naturally. But if you’re chasing someone else’s definition of success while ignoring what you actually need? You end up burnt out with a business that looks good on paper but feels hollow.
