Today we’d like to introduce you to Savannah Geivet
Hi Savannah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I initially pursued Western medicine in my education, attending San Diego State University, where I majored in Health Science and minored in Religious Studies and Psychology, prepared to take the path towards Physician Assistant. At the time, I didn’t even realize I had essentially created my own mind-body-spirit degree. It wasn’t until I took a Complementary and Alternative Nursing class that I had an epiphany: I didn’t want to be part of a healthcare system dominated by pharmaceutical companies pushing their products.
Although I respect emergency medicine and several aspects of Western healthcare, I felt called to explore a different path. While living in LA, I discovered Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego—a city I’d always loved calling home. Now, three years into this program with less than a year to go, I’ve learned so much about how we can prevent chronic disease and restore ourselves naturally. without solely relying on pharmaceuticals. I wholeheartedly believe in the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, and that disease on any level arises when there is an imbalance between the three.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No. I felt the calling to become a healer from a young age, but had to unlearn the illusion that we live in a society that prioritizes our health. In reality, our system isn’t designed for our well-being. Capitalism is a tough pill to swallow for many, and it’s disheartening to see how it impacts access to healthy food, pure water, and essential programs. However, finding a community of like-minded individuals, both in my program and beyond, who see the potential for a brighter future has been incredibly grounding and helped me navigate this path with hope and purpose.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
In addition to studying Traditional Chinese Medicine—which involves understanding the body’s bio-electric meridians, Five-Element acupuncture that prioritizes the spiritual health of organ systems, and Herbal Medicine dating back over 5,000 years—I have always been deeply connected to music. As a local DJ in San Diego, music has been a creative outlet for me throughout the years. Recently, I have merged my love for music with healing by incorporating frequency therapy, using sound bowls and tuning forks in my practice. Certain frequencies are associated with emotional states of being, with the power to promote healing and stimulate cellular regeneration. I believe artists are healers at their core and I love when we can co-create through music and medicine.
What matters most to you? Why?
Remembering that it always comes back to love has been my guiding force. Do all things with love. Forgive. Lead by example. Remember that the world is a mirror. These truths ground me and guide me back to my core.
