Hi Stone, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi, my name is Stone Stockton. I’m a professional artist and yoga teacher. I trained authentic Ashtanga Vinyasa Pranayama Yoga from Authentic Yoga in Scottsdale at age 18. I learned from authorized L2 teachers Lisa Schrempp, Karen Kelly, and Aimee Echo (in Long Beach). I learned professional classical visionary art from Juliana Garces.
Currently, I’m self-employed teaching yoga and selling my art at Ocean Beach with my licensed vending permit for Stone Stockton Art.
I play bass in a local rock band Bad Daisy Cult! Check us out at local bars!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My current challenges are finding investors to help provide start-up investment capital. I need merchandise (t-shirts/ tapestries, etc.) to be able to sell merchandise. I also need help finding clients willing to practice at the beach regularly or a studio that will let me teach in their space with their schedule.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work is digitally painted by me on my iPad in Procreate, then printed on canvas and painted by hand with acrylic. My yoga classes are in-person, in zoom, last roughly 1 hr., and accessible for all levels!
What’s next?
My future plans are to one day own a multi-acre ranch farm to host all my rescue animals and grow my own food. I want to be able to prove at least two years of consistent local income from my art/ yoga business to be able to meet the requirements for buying a house, so I could use all the community support I can get. I want to own multiple yoga studios and paint live art at every festival in so-cal!
