Veronica , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Went from collecting shells on the beach to collecting sea glass. On one of my sea glass hunting trips I met a woman named Laura. After a week of sea glass hunting together, she mentioned someone should make jewelry out of this. I took this to heart and made some beautiful jewelry for myself of course. I sent her photos, she immediately wanted to buy all of the pieces I made. I told her it wasn’t for sale, she then said I really need to start selling my creations. I started to do some research and my first event was the balboa artwalk. 5 years later, I’ve beaten cancer, and dealing with psoriatic arthritis, my company is growing and growing. I have a following of customers, and it just feels great that so many people love my designs. Ive been able to leave my job of 31years and just focus on my jewelry.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My struggles have been, fighting breast cancer in 2023, and psoriatic arthritis from 24 to current day.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in one of a kind sea glass and shell jewelry. Im known for my one of a kind creations. Im most proud of being able to leave my 7 to 4 job after 31 years. Im able to support my family, pay for my kids college tuition and not be in debt.
What sets me apart is, I collect my own sea glass to make my jewelry.
