Today we’d like to introduce you to Andres Arana.
Hi Andres, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Tijuana, and when I was 2 years old, I suffered an accident where a majority of my body suffered intense burns. I spent part of my life in and out of a hospital with a great part of my life was in a hospital. at 18 I went back to Tijuana and returned to San Diego as a permanent resident and started my career as a bail bondsman serving my community as a bail agent for the past 4 years.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For most of my life, I had to go thru life being bullied due to my physical appearance based on the fact that my body was covered in burns. I worked for call centers for the past 10 years until I finally got an opportunity to get into the bail industry considering my limited education and dropping out of high school.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I work for a Bail Bonds Company. I try to help families get together with their love ones and make the process of getting out of jail easier. One of the most satisfying things about my job is helping an individuals love ones get home. As a bondsman, I must maintain unbiased opinion and treat everyone the same.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
It’s always good to have people in your life that can motivate you to do better and always get you off your comfort zone, and inspire you to become a better person as well as a motivated individual. Personally for me, the people in my life help me by pushing me and never settling to always aspire for more.
