Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel & Rob.
Hi Angel & Rob, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been wanting to start a podcast for a few years now and I mentioned it to friends, but most weren’t interested, and few were initially excited about the idea, but nothing came of it. But all that change on one night in December of 2021. My good friend Robert was at my house, and I mentioned the podcast idea. Robert’s response was “let do it”. The next few days he called and texted me every day asking for updates about the podcast, so I knew he was serious about it. We nagged our about what topic to discuss in the podcast and we found that we both have a love for craft beer. Not just craft beer but local craft beer. The next month we ended up buying microphones and a mixer and a week later, we have our 1st episode. It was a crash course because we didn’t have any type of knowledge of podcasting, recording, audio editing, etc. Now, we’re nearing our 10th episode and we have videos on YouTube, followers on Instagram, and a TikTok.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest struggle was the editing. I mentioned that we didn’t have any type of audio editing knowledge and we found ourselves spending hours editing just one show. Now, it’s easier and we look forward to new challenges.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are podcasters who review local breweries and beer. We don’t specialize in anything. We are just two friends who love to drink local beer and talk.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Initially, we went into this project not taking it seriously. Now we are looking expand to video and hopefully to meet people with the same love for craft beer.
