Today we’d like to introduce you to Blake Ron Lederle
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
When I was very young, my parents saw that I had a great love for art & for drawing. I also loved going to the San Diego Zoo. So my parents thought that it would be a great idea to enroll me in art classes at the zoo so that I could furthersomething that I loved doing.
Every day, we would do something different, and every day we had a new subject or new animal to explore of what we felt was beautiful on canvas. One day we would paint, the next day we would draw, and the next we would use oil or charcoal and at times even pastel paints. I felt a whole new creative side come out of me. From these experiences my talent began to develop. I could now express my creative side at this young age.
Over the years, I would take trips with my family we would go to places that were cool or different. I realized that I would feel that same creative side or imaginative drive that I had picked up in thise early art classes. When I would pick up a camera, it was almost the same type of energy or fire inside of me, as I felt when I was drawing or painting.
I’m not talking about a familiar camera, camera, I’m talking about one of those $10 “throw away” get developed at local drugstore cameras, The ones where you put the whole camera in the box or hole at the photo center and not see it again for a week or more – very old school. I guess where I’m going with this is …
when I saw what some of the photos I took looked like, I knew something had not only changed inside of me, but something had been hidden in my heart this whole time. Something inside of me I didn’t know existed was there and it felt more real and powerful than ever.
I just never knew how to express myself in that way. Even if was just a disposable throw away camera. I saw from that first film I had developed at the pharmacy store, that I had something special in my hands. I can remember looking for my last name through all the developed photo packages left for customers and then my smile and then my reaction. I was so happy and pleased with what I saw in each photograph. What I was seeing wasn’t just a batch of what I thought were great photos. I was having visions of what my future could be. Early on I felt something beautiful and passionate. A spark inside of me was lit. I was eager to grow, learn and start this journey that was in front of me.
As I got a little older, fast forward to 1998, I was 14. I was going to start high school within that year. I was excited to finally be able to take photography classes. I would soon learn how to develop film and create finished prints. In the photography dark room I would mix chemicals and really dig into the photography world.
I couldn’t wait to start shooting with an old school, black and white, 35 mm Minolta camera. I studied and leaned about that camera in every single way I could. Aside from that, I also studied old films, and photographs which helped me realize something. For years before that I had already been taking photographs as a kid. But what I had not realized until this moment in high school was that I had already developed my own style!
After my first week of photography class, I decided to go home and take a look at all the photos I had taken with the disposable cameras and basically throw away cameras over the past years and look at them with greater detail and a sharper eye. Digital cameras weren’t really out much yet at that time. Even the ones that were out at that time still had a lot of bugs to work out or were still too early in their development.
At one point I was looking at the photos I had taken early on with the throw away cameras. I noticed that they were actually better than what I had been taking on the cameras at school! At first I was taken back but then I realized that this was a sign that this was something I was born to do. I then became apsolutely fascinated with shooting angles and going to great lengths to take photos that people wouldn’t even expect to see.
I decided at that point that this wasn’t just going to be a side thing in my life anymore. I knew in my heart that when I went back to class, I didn’t just want to learn photography to simply pass a class in order to graduate. I wanted this to be my career.
I wanted to excel at photography and hopefully do amazing things. I wanted to show the world a sense of perspective and expression that would impact them in way that they had never experienced before. I aimed to be a photographer that would show the world how beautiful life really is.
In many ways, I’ve achieved these goals but continue learning and growing. God guides me every step of the way so so that I can then present to the world the beauty he made for us all to see as well.
One thing that I have learned in my life is that I may not be able to change the world myself, but I can try and I won’t ever stop. Just think … if we try and do at least one simple thing a day for another person or human being, such as a hello, a smile, a friendly gesture, being kind, helping someone in need or something similar could really help someone. Even if its 2 minutes to listen to someone and hearing what they are going through, our world can change, one day at a time, one act at a time.
One day would like to start a foundation, similar to what my dad has done which is to help others, to help churches, to help families & other people in need. I may not currently be able to afford doing all of that right now, but with God’s help, anything Is possible, anything.
It is a goal of mine to one day be able to give / donate as many photos as I can and art work as I can to people in need. Even if someone can’t afford to fill their home with joy, or beautiful things I would like to make that possible for them. Many people work so hard, yet have nothing to come home to in terms of art or beauty. I hope to someday change that for as many people as I can. I would like people to one day smile because there are portraits around their room, photographs & art work that reflects a message that says: I believe in you, you’re not alone, you are cared for & you do matter.
Fast forward to 2021, over the past few years in high school, I felt was the time
For me to learn photography more than ever. But like I said, I never realized I had also spent so much time behind the lens & also working with cameras in general that I also had a love and great feeling for making and editing films as well.
As a teenager, I worked as a bus boy at an IHOP restaurant in order to save up for my first car. After some time, I was able to achieve that goal. At that time, I would drive to soccer practice after school. I remember taking taking photos before, during and after practice. Being able to drive allowed me to go more places and shoot more photos. During these teenage years I also noticed something else growing in my heart which was creating short film shoots.
My friends and I loved skateboarding, but one thing that was fun and interesting for me to do while skateboarding was actually filming my friends as they skateboarded and performed tricks. I saw this new passion of mine come alive inside me. Just as my love for photography had come alive and grown, my passion for film also came alive. I began to spend a lot more time learning everything I could about film. I would try to perfect what I was doing in film in every way that I could.
At that time, the internet was just coming out. Basically, AOL and Juno were the main internet providers. So while working at Ralph’s grocery store for my remaining high school years, I managed to save up for my first movie camera. I saw what I wanted to do with my life and I took that very seriously. I would do anything just to make my dream come true. The whole time while working at Ralph’s there was no other way of communicating quickly besides mail or fax. Even email was just barely becoming widely used. I decided to create demo tapes to show all my photography work and all of my best filming videos. I put these all on a VHS tape.
This was tons and tons of work. I was determined to never give up in order to get attention or maybe discovered. My aim was to accomplish my dreams and goals. I had to literally record them one by one. There were hundreds of them. I would buy almost every magazine that Ralph’s grocery store sold. By hand I would mail my demo tapes to each and every single company in the magazine ads that I saw, even the back and front pages. Just about every magazine ad I would see, I would take all of the demo tapes that I made to the post office and send each and everyone of them by mail to as many company’s as I possibly could. And never stopped.
There was a period when I was filming, skateboarding & and taking photographs with friends. Some of those friends became really good and company’s hired them, picked them up so to speak. After a while, company’s like Stussy, Savier & Clae started to notice my work. Suddenly I was “on flow.” Which means not paid, just clothes and shooting videos for their skateboard, clothing or shoe lines. This was a whole lot of fun because we got to go to a lot of places and be in a lot of events.
I knew in my heart that there was more to this. God had a bigger purpose and plan for me. God was working in me and through me. I could feel it. Each and every time that I failed and needed to correct my work, faith in God helped push me harder to achieve something more. No matter what, Gods love helped make my photography stronger and better.
So I continued to pursue my dream, going pro with filming & photography. I continued to send my VHS demo tapes to companies all over. One day it finally happened. A company called Live Sockets Entertainment out of Long Beach, California, said they saw my work and liked what they saw. I put together one of my demo tapes for them and they invited me up to their offices for an interview.
This was right around or just after the “Fast and Furious” hype had come to light. What this company did was film huge racing & drifting events around the United States & world.
They invited me to film a huge racing event in Baltimore, Maryland. We also did a couple more shoots around the USA, such as Pamona Speedway in California. The most exciting thing of all was after our film producing a DVD called : drift usa part 1 & 2. These were sold at Best Buy around the world. Now, people could see the work I had done with the people that believed in me. This all happened because I never stopped believing in myself. I knew that had my back. God, not only has my back but he loves all of us and wants to make each and every one of our dreams come true.
We just have to show that we believe in ourselves and God. We are blessed to have opportunities. If we try hard, even fail a couple of times, we will be rewarded big.
At the age of 18 I decided to start my own photography business/ company. I named
It after my dad, Blake Ronald Print – @blakeronaldprint . I named it after him because of all the ways he has loved me and supported me for being who I am.
And it is kind of funny even though my dad’s name is Ron, and it is my middle name as well, my dad has always disliked being called Ronnie or Ronald when he was younger. Buttt … I did it any way any named it after my dad because of how much I love him and how much he means to me, and to see him laugh and smile, means the world to me, just like the beautiful heart my mom has.
I have done literally every type of photography shoot, category & subject you can think of. But the thing I love most, is shooting abstract shots, working with people, helping others. I want to do what ever I can to help society, to change this world even if it’s just one smile photo at a time.
I have photographed historical places, people and things, one of them was in documentary in Kona, Hawaii.
One of one of my favorite photo shoots was the Ken block invitational. Ken block is a professional race car driver and world class champion for the sport of drifting. He is definitely a very funny and cool dude. I remember him telling me to hold on for dear life, when he gave me a ride along in his race car, of course at full speed, he wasn’t joking I said holy “ sH$$$$t “ haha 🤣 he said I told you. And it was incredible, I remember getting out of the car after the ride along, sweating like a horse but amazed and as looked at him I smiled and said you were right and that was awesome!
One thing that was definitely different and noticeable about me when I take Photographs is that I have never been afraid to get close up shots of we’re other photographers wouldn’t ever dare to go for or shoot. I have always pushed my self to go further to try harder, and to never ever give up. To take photos as if it were the last photo I was ever going to take, or that the world will ever see.
If you put your heart into What you love to do, and what your passion about. You will feel something different. That feeling
Inside of you is saying keep going,
Don’t give up, and never ever stop. There will be bumpy roads along the way, nothing
Is earned over night. Just always remember that You are talented, you are amazing, and you can accomplish anything you set your mind to if you work hard enough, anything.
Ansel adams took portraits of many things. The most common was of trees and nature.
He took something so simple that god created, and showed the world how beautiful the trees and nature really was, but through his eyes to see.
And in every step of my photography and life, I feel that my photographs will live on forever because when I take a photo it doesn’t just paint a picture, it creates a moment, a memory, an expression that can be used to not only be a piece of art but a better world, were we strive to do things for others, and help anyone we can.
I continue to spend almost every single night of my life, working until atleast till two in the morning, designing advertisements and layouts for my photography, videos & artwork.
I also have worked with a handful of designers to make all of my different sticker layouts and prints.
The fire, the drive, the focus, the passion & the dedication and determination that’s inside of me to go bigger, shoot further & reach higher will never stop.
Over the past couple years I have done some football shoots and some fun shoots with different vinyl shops, bars and restaurants but what really stood out to me and still stands out to me this day is the tattoo culture and lifestyle. I fell in love with every bit of it when I was young but didn’t realize I had a strong passion for it when I got older and started take photos around the shops that I got tattooed at, and they have Always been wonderful & supported my photography before but this time I felt something different. I felt like the style and experience I had over the past 17 years, I feel like god was telling me to try something new that I already loved being around and a part of. The tattoo culture and lifestyle.
Recently I have really loved is being apart of tattoo conventions, and also art & photography gallery’s too. I really look forward to as many as I can be apart of but this time around, I would like all of the proceeds for the events go towards causes like diseases, ilneseses and helping others in need. I want to help people, that is my focus, and again I may not be able to afford all of this right now, but with gods help one day I will and we will, with god anything is possible.
I’ve never seen any other photographer show the actual steps apon how a tattoo is made & also done and finished.
Most photographers take photos of the tattoo while the artist is tattooing. Not the actual photographic process of setting up the tattoo, or even setting up the gun itself.
Also showing the detail’s of the blood & ink that runs down. Getting up close and stylish shots of the artist while working with the client. Being hands on, and actually showing what the artist & the clients expression is and are. Even down to the very last detail in every perspective of what it’s all about.
I present the art of tattooing with my work by showing the world for what it truley is, and means to me. I have continued to push the level when it comes to tattoo photography & film. I express my self through the lens in a way that people can see the focus and determination in my
Eyes. The hard work and passion in my
Heart and soul. I keep pushing harder to do what ever I can to perfect my tattoo photography style & technique.
Eventually bigger tattoo conventions, clothing company’s and tattoo business started noticing.
I am very thankful to have been apart of some pretty big photo shoots for some of the more well known and long running tattoo shops in San Diego county. I was very blessed to work with, just to name a few of of many …
– Concrete jungle tattoo
– Pops tattoo shop
– Lifetime tattoo
– Fyling panther tattoo
– The chrome lady tattoo
– Family sd tattoo ( in ocean beach, ca )
I am very thankful for all of the these shops, especially concrete jungle tattoo, for always believing in me and helping me grow.
Film & Photography makes me feel something more exciting than I have ever felt before. It makes me think more and push harder. It brings out the fire of passion inside of me.
But most of all ..
It Allows me to see the world in a way, were my dreams are bigger and there is no limit to What I can accomplish or do. I will always keep shooting for more than just the stars.
When I hold a camera, and I look through the lens, it’s like god painted a picture for me to see & capture to show the world
How beautiful life really is.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not. With all the struggles in my life, one of the biggest learning experiences for me was learning to never give up.
No matter how many health issues I have had in my life, including issues of having no money, and trying to survive and pay bills, I continued to pray. One thing that was certain but I did not realize at the time, was that God wanted me to use my weakness to make me stronger. I persisted, I didn’t give up, and still kept going.
At one point, my doctor had prescribed me medicine that he thought was good for my anxiety and stress. I was not aware of the gigantic dangers and long term side effects of this medicine. He had not warned me of what it could do to me and how it could destroy my body and mind and change my life going forward.
One day, my body felt like it was on fire. The next day, I felt like I was going to die because of how strongly and badly this new medicine was messing with my mind & physically destroying my body. This was an extremely scary time for me. I didn’t even know or feel like myself anymore. I have always had control of my life and myself, but all of a sudden, the medicine I was being prescribed took control. I spent about 2 years in and out of the emergency room, constantly dealing with this horrible
battle day in and day out and never getting better. I knew something had to change and this had to stop. I needed my life back & I wanted to be the person I always was from the beginning. My legs felt like jello. My mind was like a squished tomato. When I spoke, it sounded like I was trying to get a bunch of sentences out but could only produce one word. I had to relearn how to speak correctly and how to actually function again. I felt helpless and lost. I also realized that I was lost without my photography.
My anxiety was so out of control, it was like I was having a heart attack almost every day of my life. I couldn’t function anymore. I couldn’t enjoy life anymore, not one single thing. It was torture.
Simply being at home was torture. My health was so bad that I would constantly throw up. I was extremely unstable and not well. I was so lost without my health and equally just as lost without my photography. That was the one thing that I loved so much. I was broken, I felt it. The feeling was like a never ending story.
I made a decision one day to give all my effort and focus to God. I had to stop listening to the doctors. What they were doing to me was hurting me, not helping. The way things were going, my health, my life, my future was being destroyed. Instead, I put my faith and efforts in God. I was able to walk normally again. I was able to work physically on my body eventually getting my strength, health and coordination back. In time, I got my mind back too. I was able to be myself and be a part of society again! Most of all, I was able to get back into what I’ve always loved, which is photography and art. Now, I am grateful that I am able to help others, just as God helped me. God turned my life around.
Mother Teresa was an amazing woman.
Throughout her life, she helped many people who were very ill, dying, had no homes or nowhere to go and nowhere to turn. She helped people who were suffering.
When people had asked her, how do you expect to change the world when you only have three pennies to your name? She replied, ” I have 3 pennies and God.”
Even today we forget to realize that change can happen if we want it to knowing that God is in charge. It’s he who loves us and guides us. With faith, anything is possible.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

much beauty is behind each and every

– last but not least, something I have never seen any photographer do in my life, which is take more then multiple subjects or photography styles and combine them in one photo, but doing that and being original as well, and on top of that, creating my own unique style with consistency that grows into something people have never seen or expected before. It’s almost like someone would have to jump high up in the air or get low to the ground more than they ever have before and then ask, how did you do that ?
– And everything is natural, it’s real
– I’m always thinking in my mind, of more and more ways to go beyond and go further than the thing or photo i created the day or week before, I study, I am Observant and I have Patience but I also make a bazillion notes to study what I have learned to grow.

– And Even through the struggles when I was younger, I did have some hard times that I’m not ready to put on paper for the word to see. My mom said I would spend hours and days in my room editing, working on my films and photography over and over and over, and still doing it till this day. She said it was my peace and she saw that it made me Happy, besides being an amazing mother she always is and has been to me she let me put x mas lights up in my room even when it wasn’t x mas time, because she knew even when times or struggles or stress or life hits you hard, she knew it made me smile and happy just like photography and film did too.

What do you do and what sets you apart from others ?
I am a professional photographer, videographer, and artist
Joe Nyri, The art professor at the San Diego zoo, taught me how to draw, paint, and see things in a different perspective. He showed me how to never have to erase, ever. Till this day, when I draw or paint, I have never had to erase, not once.
It is the same way I think when I take photos. I do not use layers or Photoshop. I have studied photography and created my own style over the years. After almost two decades now, everything I do is real. I create photography with my eyes see and what’s in my heart and soul. No app, no AI or no program could ever create or edit the things I do nor take photos of because it’s real to me.
I take photographs that come from heart, passion, drive, focus, and determination. It’s like fire that explodes all over the page like a paint brush ready for a new burst of radiant sun and colors around it that gleam through like nothing you have ever seen before. I never ever hold back, or hesitate.
When I take photos, I am like a cat, slow at first but very observant, studying each angle and each point before I even take a step closer to my subject or object. Just like a cat, I move around being aware of my surroundings. In every effort to get close, I watch every step I make before I make it. I have a picture in my mind of what I’m going to do before I do it. Then, I get even closer, but this time I focus on the details of what I’m shooting. My rhythm becomes strong, I feel the fire inside of me; I take a breathe, and as every cat does, I move faster. I learnn from my experiences of what I can do in the moment to be smarter and know what I’m aiming to do.
I have and will always go above and beyond any thing I take photos of. Even when black and white was one of my worst subjects, and abstract as well, I spent years identifying what needed to be done to overcome and perfect these instead of pushing them away, afraid to fail. When you take something you weren’t good at and develop it until you are on point every time, it becomes one of your best types & styles of photography.
I take all steps needed to bring out that up close, abstract, background shot but with gleaming light coming through. It’s like a burst of energy, almost as if you can touch the artist creating the photo through the lens. When you are around me, you can feel the vibe and the air I breathe just like yours. It’s of peace yet patience and care, but with focus and determination to perfect my craft, no matter what the situation may be.
I am proud to know and to see and feel what’s in my heart. I have a style of many diffent subjects, angles, views and perspectives. I do go above and beyond. From the moment I even touched a disposable camera when I was a kid, to the moment I developed My first black and white film. I got low to the ground and im not talking on the ground, I mean I got in the detail of every crack in the concrete; of every bend in the trees, of every inch of tire tred that came off of a race car during a racing event. I got up close and personal, never hesitating to ever get the best shot, and doing anything possible to get better each and every time while doing it. There is reaction when there is action.
With art and photography you can express yourself in a way shows your heart and passion pop out of the page. With God, he has shown me a way to do all of that and to show the world who I am, help people and also let them see how much more beautiful the world is that he created for all of us.
I have always been consistent with my work, even in all the struggles of my life. One thing I will never stop doing is taking photos, creating art and film as if it’s the last thing the world will ever see that I created or if it’s the last photo I will ever take. Don’t ever stop being you and don’t ever stop pushing for the things you want to or know you can accomplish. Remember, with God anything is possible, anything.
Just as I go hard on my photography work and take it seriously and do whatever I can, I keep going and push to achieve my dreams and goals. I often stay up till 2 a.m. or later just like I am at this very moment because not only do I believe in myself, I believe in others as well. I help anyone I can and also to do what’s right. God shows me in my heart every day to try and change the world, even if it’s just one day or one photo at a time.
If you hire me, or sign me with your company, or you offer me a contract, you are helping me do what dreams are made of and even more. We will be working together to help others make something that was once behind a paint brush or behind the lens more than amazing and incredible. We will not only create something that’s just beautiful and new, but create a whole fresh style that no one has ever seen before. It goes places or to depths that other artists or photographers have never dared to go. It is a perspective that would allow the world to see art in a whole other way.
Photography art gallerys are fun as well, events are too. These are places where people can come together. Even bringing music into the mix can create a great vibe, a wonderful atmosphere, and an environment with great energy.
If you look through my Instagram & and check out the highlight bubbles I have displayed under my profile, you will see several pallets of all different styles & types of photographs put together. I have done this for years. I have never seen any seen any other photographer, ever present work in this way. Especially spending all the time to do so, and organizing them with such a unique, colorful, and consistent technique.
The pallets I have created and still do create, are always new, fresh every single time. And instead of having each photo displayed, the photographs are put other on pallets to create several art pieces.
I have spent years studying the light, time and shadows and I still continue to do it till this day. Everything I do is real . It’s raw. It’s life and it’s photography.
No photo shop. Just a dedicated photographer that will do anything and anything to present his work to the world. And with gods help, we can work together make this world a better place.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I would love to start doing some bigger art/ photography & focusing on galleries soon. I would also like to expand my work by traveling outside of the United States, maybe to Mexico. My photography and art could possibly help other people in the world expand Gods love. I could use my photography and art to help others who want to do the same. My work could build something amazing and expose people in the world to something they never expected to see.
Again, life is just like a mustard seed, when you plant it, it’s small and tiny. Over time it grows and grows with care, and dedication. It becomes bigger than before.
When God planted that mustard seed in my life, it helped me grow and see the light he shines through my life each and every day. My faith in him has helped me become stronger and bigger for what he knows is beautiful. He has created this for me so that I see through the lens and show the world how beautiful life really is. I will never stop growing, I will never stop learning and never never stop studyin. I will always look for that light that shines upon me from God. Through him I can push harder each day to inspire others and for me, to be the best photographer I can be.
Special thanks:
I would like to say thank you to just a few of the many people that helped me get where I am today and never stopped believing in me.

Long ago, when God planted that mustard seed inside of me, I became more passionate, I became stronger, the feeling inside my heart gave me confidence. I became more detailed in my photographs. It is this passion and focus on details that helped develop my style. That is what drives me and pushes me harder each and every day. That comes from Gods love.
It’s also the air I breathe and that inner voice that makes me know that with time, patience, prayer and determination, I can go above and beyond & never ever stop. I do not stop, even when my goals and dreams do come true.
My motto is:
Don’t stop, keep going!
