Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Lopez
Hi Brooke, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a San Diego native, self-made graphic designer, who gained interest at 11 years old playing on the family computer. I started out pinpointing other’s interests to collect them all in a collage to present a beautiful bigger picture of each person. Fast forward to my adult years, I started graphic designing/social media managing for an Escondido car wash and absolutely fell in love with the position. For the first time this job gave me the freedom to fully express my creativity with ease. After the car wash closed, I followed the owner to his local restaurant in Imperial Beach where again, I had the freedom to create with no pressure. Once my six-month contract ended, I was inspired to start something of my own! Instead of one page advertising one business, I could create one page advertising countless businesses!!! I started @BlessingBusinessesSD on Instagram to advertise the small businesses of my own friends and family as well as the local businesses across the county that resonate with my heart. My page is open for any San Diego business to advertise their products, deals and resources! I do this completely free of charge because it is truly a passion to create and help others simultaneously.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Due to lifes challenges I have had some creative blocks but I am patient with myself and know I will always come out victorious.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I love graphic designing and social media managing. It is a dream of mine to manage several social media accounts for local businesses. What sets me apart from other social media managers is I create with passion. I love helping others and knowing I make a positive effect on the business.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I was going through a creative block when a local magazine emailed me interested in an interview about my business page. The email instantly motivated me to finish my projects and continue on my creative journey.
