Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlin Goehring.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m an astrologer, Reiki Master, life coach, entrepreneur, writer, tarot reader, and yogi (amongst other things). My business, of the star’s holistic health, was founded in 2019 – although it was very different at the beginning!
My academic background focused on sociology and psychology, and post-grad I attended the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts to study holistic nutrition and life coaching. The first iteration of my business was focused on supporting women with eating disorders to shift their relationship to food, eating, and their bodies. After a year of nutrition coaching, it was very evident to me that the work I was doing had nothing to do with food, other than that was what had brought us together. In 2019, I transitioned my business to focus on astrology and mind/body/soul coaching. Then, in 2020, I began a long process of becoming a Reiki Master, which has enhanced and enlivened my work and my life immeasurably.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course! My journey has been full of trial and error and increasing my failure tolerance (because let’s be real, it’s impossible to own/run a business and not experience “failure” in some ways). Entrepreneurship has been the most extreme personal growth work I’ve done. There is no guidebook, especially to run a Capitalism-critical intuitive ethical healing business. I strive for my values and integrity to be involved in every aspect of my business, which requires thoughtfulness and decision-making that doesn’t always align with the standard process of building a business. But it’s been extremely worth it.
I’ve faced challenges in many areas – in launching offerings that get zero sign-ups, learning the hard way to build systems within my business, and, personally, my entire life has shifted as a result of the path I’ve chosen (or that chose me). Of course, owning a small business in a pandemic has been its own challenge too. I’m proud that I’m still here, I’m proud that my business has been received well and has grown in this time. All of the challenges I’ve been through to get to where I am has given me the experience, knowledge, and empowerment to keep moving forward, to innovate, and to keep creating.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work as an astrologer + space holder is deeply influenced by my coaching background and yogic philosophy and is focused on holistic mind-body-spirit healing. Most of my work is centered on cyclical living – living in tune with Nature’s seasons, the cosmic cycles that we observe through astrology, and each client’s individual energetic makeup.
My astro work is rooted in Soul-centered esoteric and traditional astrology, with an intuitive modern, psychological application. Services range from 90-minute soul-purpose birth chart readings to focusing on the present astro weather & how to utilize the energy to support your goals, business readings, astrocartography (the astrology of location!), and more to practically attuning my clients to their true nature + focus on their personal evolution. Most of the astrology I do is with my 1:1 coaching clients, but I also offer circles & events to collective tune into the energy of the seasons.
I also offer distance and in-person Reiki energy healing sessions with crystal therapy and tarot readings.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My commitment to freedom and self-sovereignty and trust in my dharma (or my sacred work) are what I credit in myself to getting to where I am today. I trusted what was placed on my heart – to be of service, to support the healing of others – was there for a reason. I trusted that I could have and create the unique avenue through which to offer my work, and I’ve been dedicated to creating a life of freedom and fulfillment for myself. This commitment to my “why” has kept me going for the last few years through times it would’ve been much easier to give up.
