Daily Inspiration: Meet Carlos Rengifo David

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Rengifo David.

Hi Carlos, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As a child, I became passionate about sports and martial arts, however, I decided to innovate in other more extreme activities such as Parkour, a method to overcome obstacles. With the passage of time, I decided to create a project that I now identify as the walker of heaven. (Skywalker)

At the age of 18, I began to experience some premonitions, visions, I had no idea what it was all about, totally unknown to me. He had visions such as: clouds, lights, flashes of totally inhospitable paths.

With the passage of time, these premonitions took shape when deciding to bring it to reality through the heights.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
So, I am a person, if I have dreamed – I have always tried to make my dream great, if I have thought about it – I have thought of something big. I often thought I had missed my chance. – I realized that there are ups and downs in the life of each of us, however as a rule, it is fair. That’s exactly what it should be. Every situation I have experienced has taken me to the moment I find myself.

Sometimes my tricks on the roofs and buildings of Caracas have gone too far for some people. Sometimes I felt that I had to stop, all this showed to someone that it was me who despises my life and honestly values it more than anyone else.

No easy path will take you to a worthwhile place.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Today I am known as the Skywalker of Venezuela. Considered one of the greatest exponents of sky walking in the world.

At 28 years of age, I combine my passion for skywalking, climbing 60-story buildings, and taking out audiovisual material once there – often with jumps and acrobatics included – with other passions and trainings such as a photographer, visual creator, cinema, among other things.

Skywalker will have its own photo exhibition in Caracas, Venezuela. With this idea, the public will have the opportunity to see my work with images of vertigo.

In addition, I specialize as a Parkour and freerunning coach.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc.?
On the Loose Rope

Philippe Petit.

In 1974, the French tightrope walker Philippe Petit, only 24 years old, made history by walking, on the tightrope, between the Twin Towers of New York, at 400 meters high. The unauthorized walk lasted 45 minutes. After the attack that brought down the towers, his feat remained a milestone in the history of the Big Apple.
