Daily Inspiration: Meet Cynthia Kosciuczyk

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Kosciuczyk.

Hi Cynthia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a serial entrepreneur, I have been involved in many areas, with design being a common thread. Back in 2000, I began working in the handmade textile business. I was located in the Gaslamp and got involved in many events there. In 2006, I decided to branch art into the arts. I have worked in picture framing, furniture, Asaina imports, and fine art sales. This resulted in community art projects in the Normal Heights and Kensington neighborhoods. I also did events with many galleries and art contests in the Chula Vista Area, including the Congressional Art Award.s This also brought me into speaking at Palomar High for creative students. As a Coronado Optimist and part of Optimist International since 2007, supporting and encouraging youth to be the leaders of tomorrow is a personal passion..

I have always been a mix of my education: science, art, and business. The past few years found me doing customer service-type work, and I landed a flooring position at Metro Flooring. What I love best is helping clients bring their vision to life,

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The way business has changed over the years, with more software, remote work, and all the challenges brought on by COVID has certainly changed the landscape. The nature of my consulting business ebbs and flows with the economy. I ventured more into writing, and it has proved to be rewarding.

The housing situation and sales have encouraged me to move around different neighborhoods, So in the words of a student who spoke at a morning meeting. Anything possible and impossible can be faced with resilience and Optimism.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

I took the less-traveled roads, which led to many careers. These all contributed to my unique mix of expertise: science research, teaching, food, art, and textiles. Owning and operating my businesses (a bakery, a gallery, and a consulting business) thrust me into the driver’s seat of learning many diverse roles from customer service to public relations and resulted in my unique management style. Participating in creating startups, working in design, and my own businesses and technology endeavors. My quest for knowledge and seeking out the best has turned me into a networking enthusiast. A lifelong passion for textiles and Persian rugs taught me an array of professional skills, such as research, writing, and community events. Networking resulted in a multitude of business opportunities. My experiences include Management, Entrepreneurship, Sales, Design, Descriptive Writing, Business Strategy, Color, and Textiles. Every facet of my work and life comes together like pieces of a puzzle. I strive to be a phenomenal networker and problem solver who continues to learn and grow.
