Daily Inspiration: Meet Dahlia Dominguez Salome Palomino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dahlia Dominguez Salome Palomino

Hi Dahlia Dominguez, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
We are Vida Creative, a women-run branding agency with a mission to help small, local businesses build or refresh their brands with intentional design. We are sisters born and raised in San Diego County, comprised of Dahlia (Art Director) and Salome (Creative Director).

Dahlia is a graphic artist who studied at UCSD and spent time abroad at an art school in Glasgow, Scotland. She worked as a graphic designer in the corporate world for over a decade, but after being unexpectedly laid off from her job, she saw it not as a setback, but as a turning point—an opportunity to finally bring their vision to life.

Salomé is a photographer with a background in wedding and lifestyle photography. She has owned her own photography business for 14 years, capturing weddings, couples, and families all throughout San Diego County. Starting this business has allowed her to focus on a different style of work—one that highlights businesses and their products rather than personal memories. This gives her the opportunity to be artistic and creative in a new way.

When Dahlia found herself at a career crossroads, we saw it as the perfect opportunity for us to merge our talents and bring our shared creative vision to life. In January 2025, we launched Vida Creative. With our combined expertise in branding, design, and photography, we create visually compelling identities that truly reflect the heart of each business we work with.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road. At the inception of our business, we had multiple inquiries and needed to balance them while meeting quick turnaround times. Now, we’ve developed a system to handle the influx more efficiently. Looking back, though, the joy of working with companies we truly believe in has far outweighed these challenges and have even added a third creative to our team, Ivette, who manages our social media.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are a women-run creative agency that brings businesses to life with passion and purpose, transforming small businesses into iconic brands. Through strategic design and compelling storytelling, we create timeless identities that resonate with your audience and reflect your unique vision.

We specialize in branding (logo, print, digital), photography, web design and upkeep, and conceptual design.

We’re known for our one-stop-shop services, offering everything from print and digital branding to branding photography—all in-house. This comprehensive approach sets us apart from other creative agencies.

Another key differentiator is our exclusive service of Conceptual Design. We turn visionary ideas into cohesive, impactful styled shoots. This is executed through polished mood board pitch decks, on-set styling, and creative direction. No other agency offers this level of conceptual design.

We’re most proud of our ability to successfully translate our clients’ visions into powerful business identities that truly reflect who they are.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
