Hi Eric, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always been deeply passionate about technology, music, and the arts since a young age. Growing up, my family helped manage a karaoke bar where I was constantly surrounded with music and talent. This ignited my passion in music and led me to DJing.
My journey lead me to discovering my interest in vinyl DJing and progressively lead to computer software applications for music (DAWS) production. As a young music enthusiast, I delved into learning programming languages, exploring various technologies, learning multiple instruments, and understanding how they could be leveraged to enhance various processes within the arts.
In addition to my work in technology and the music industry, I have been actively involved in various non-profit initiatives. I serve as the President and CEO of “gallery130.org,” an organization that aims to promote and support artists from diverse backgrounds, providing them with a platform to showcase their work and contribute to the cultural enrichment of the community.
My role as an instructor for this non-profit also allows me to share my knowledge and expertise with aspiring artists and musicians, empowering them with the necessary skills to pursue their creative passions. This dual role as a leader in both technology and the arts has been incredibly fulfilling, as it enables me to bridge the gap between these two worlds and find innovative ways to integrate technology into creative expressions.
It has been a gratifying journey to reach the position I am in today as an application administrator, technical leader, and artist-DJ. The key to my success has been a relentless pursuit of my passions, continuous learning, and a willingness to explore uncharted territories. The unique blend of my technological expertise and creative pursuits has allowed me to carve out a niche for myself in the industry, enabling me to make a positive impact.

Some of the struggles the music industry can have is the meaningful collaboration between artist. At Gallery130.org we believe in fostering an environment where artist work together with mentors to build a culture of community.

Looking back, it has been a gratifying journey to reach the position I am in today as an application administrator, technical leader, and artist-DJ. My passion for music production led me to starting the non-profit Gallery130.org, where I have been able to hone my skills in sound engineering and producing high-quality tracks. As I gained more experience and exposure in the music scene, I realized the potential to combine my love for technology with my passion for music and teaching it to others.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One of the most fundamental lessons we have learned has been the impact that music can have on an individual’s happiness and it’s spread to the surrounding community.
It has been a long road, and there have been a lot of lessons and challenges along the way. Gallery130.org has allowed us to reach more people as a non-profit organization than we had ever believed possible and has only served to reinforce our mission to bring music and art to local communities in San Diego.
