Isaura Villalba

Hi Isaura, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I have always had a love for music; in high school, I was in the performing arts Academy where I got some experience with music, which I then returned to music later in life after college as a singer/songwriter. I wanted to try something new, but I didn’t know many people in the music industry; then my neighbor hit my car, and he turned out to be a producer. I recorded my first original song with that producer. I then went on to network with more people in the industry as I began to put myself out there more. With the people I have in my circle today, my music has developed since my first song, and I am happy to see the progress.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Progress has been slow and steady; each song I make, I learn something new. I am still establishing my overall strategy. Every artists will experience obstacles, but I feel focusing on the positive as well as overcoming said obstacle is way more important.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Singer/Songwriter that is typical to write a pop & R&B feel into her music. With her last EP being a success while featuring some reputable artists, featured artists being San Diego rapper: 22Gfay and Los Angeles rapper: MCM Raymond. What makes me most proud is the fact that I am among one of the first to graduate from college in my family. I would say I am set apart in the way that I blend genres in some of my songs. along with the inevitable versatility that comes with operating that way, leaving me open to be able to get make multiple genres of music.

What are your plans for the future?
I plan to keep on the slow and steady approach, being intentional with everything do, goals would be to grow my social media presence, get more shows, and connect with more of those in the music industry…
