Today we’d like to introduce you to Jules Marchisio.
Hi Jules, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started out in corporate America as a project manager — did that for over a decade — but after being laid off a few times, I realized that path just wasn’t for me.
About 18 years ago, I dove into entrepreneurship, and honestly, I’ve never looked back. I started in network marketing, built a big team, had a lot of success, spoke on stages really discovered a love for personal development. Being in that industry I really found my passion for leadership and helping people grow. I also found a major passion for working for myself and never having a boss again.
That eventually led me into real estate, which has been such a natural fit because it’s all about people and connection — two things I truly value.
I also started Rise and Thrive, a women’s community here in San Diego where we host monthly events that bring women together to collaborate and support one another. It’s honestly my favorite thing I do — just watching women leave feeling inspired, lighter, and more connected.
At the end of the day, I’m all about believing in yourself, trusting the process of what feels right for your life, and surrounding yourself with like minded people.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Any hard time I’ve been through, I’ve always tried to look at it as a lesson. I truly believe God has a plan, and as long as I’m following my heart and living up to the potential I set for myself, other people’s opinions don’t matter.
One of my favorite books, Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Learn by John C. Maxwell, really changed my perspective. It taught me not to fear failure — because every setback has something to teach you — and not to worry about what others think. That mindset has opened some incredible doors in my life.
The biggest game-changer for me has been surrounding myself with like-minded people — mentors, leaders, and those who have the qualities and success I aspire to. That environment helped me grow into the person I am today.
And honestly, having a long-term vision is everything. Entrepreneurship isn’t about instant results — it’s about staying the course, trusting the process, and knowing that the hard times are shaping you for what’s next.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a real estate agent and community builder who’s passionate about helping people find homes and create roots here in San Diego. Beyond real estate, I’m the founder of Rise & Thrive SD, a women’s networking and empowerment community that brings together entrepreneurial women to collaborate, grow, and support one another through connection and shared purpose.
I’m most proud of creating a space where women can truly be seen, build confidence, and turn their ideas into action. What sets me apart is my heart for both people and business—I approach real estate and community with authenticity, long-term vision, and a genuine desire to help others rise and thrive in every area of life.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
First, my mom deserves credit for instilling in me the belief to always follow my heart and never care what others think. I’ve also been blessed with incredible mentors who’ve guided me across different industries, showing me that success comes from systems, consistency, and surrounding yourself with the right people.
I also give myself credit for never quitting what I want to do — no matter who doubted me or what doors closed. My years in network marketing taught me how to build not just a business but myself, and I owe so much to my team of over 13,000 who helped shape that journey. That experience inspired me to create Rise and Thrive, a community built on collaboration over competition, where we all learn so much from one another, not to mention the support!
