Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Vincent, Psy.D..
Hi Kelly, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my career in private practice, deeply passionate about supporting women navigating trauma, anxiety, imposter syndrome, and major life transitions. Over time, it became clear to me that while talk therapy was powerful, there was often something missing—something deeper that involved not just the mind, but the body and the nervous system as well.
I had always dreamed of creating something bigger—a holistic space that integrated evidence-based therapy with complementary healing modalities. I envisioned a sanctuary where clients could feel deeply supported, safe, and seen. A place that felt warm and welcoming, where the aesthetics invited a sense of calm and where a connected, collaborative team could work together to care for the whole person.
That dream became Nourished Wellness Group. We are now a holistic mental health practice based in Encinitas, California, grounded in nervous system-informed care. We combine somatic therapy, EMDR, walk-and-talk therapy, yoga therapy, and a range of integrative approaches to help our clients feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to themselves. My biggest intention from the start has been to create a space that not only supports healing—but also feels like a place people genuinely want to come to. A place that feels like home on the path back to themselves.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—but I’ve learned that growth rarely happens in comfort. Building a business and group practice has come with its fair share of bumps, especially around leadership, developing efficient systems, and ensuring consistent quality of care from start to finish. There’s been a continual learning curve, and I’m still learning every day.
What’s kept me grounded is staying anchored in our core values: being client-first, creating an inclusive and safe space, integrating holistic approaches that honor both the mind and body, and crafting truly supportive, personalized treatment plans. Even when the road has felt uncertain, those values have served as our compass—and they continue to guide every decision we make as we grow.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

We’re known for creating a warm, aesthetically calming environment where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. I’m most proud of the way our team integrates clinical expertise with holistic care, helping clients not just manage symptoms—but truly reconnect with themselves and live more aligned, easeful lives.
What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue expanding our team at Nourished Wellness Group so we can better support and serve our growing client community. As we grow, our mission remains the same: to provide integrative, nervous system-informed care that truly supports the whole person.
We’re currently launching EMDR intensives and yoga therapy intensives for those seeking deeper, accelerated healing. In addition, we’re developing specialized workshops and community events centered around nervous system education, regulation, and mind-body wellness. These offerings are designed to create accessible pathways for healing—whether someone is just beginning their journey or looking to deepen the work they’ve already started.
It’s an exciting time, and we’re grateful to be building a practice that not only provides high-quality therapy but also fosters true connection, healing, and transformation.
