Daily Inspiration: Meet Mad Hunny

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mad Hunny.

Hi Mad, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Zoe and Kaia met when they were little at school of rock, where they played in a band together for 3 years. They went separate ways for a little while with their own bands, but both agreed that they wanted to start an all girl band. This year, after meeting Miya through some mutual friends in the music world, Zoe invited Kaia to start an all girl band with the three of them. The three girls instantly hit it off, and they have been playing shows, writing music, and
building their social media presence ever since! They are focusing on growing their TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube right now and are posting content frequently! They have big plans for the future, with a couple special and exciting announcements coming soon!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been a pretty smooth road up to this point, the biggest challenge has been coordinating our crazy schedules, but we always find time to practice!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are a socal all girl band that plays pop-punk/rock music. If you could imagine Olivia Rodrigo inspired vocals, with harder rock music underneath, that pretty much sums up Mad Hunny’s style. We are very proud of our dedication and love to our instruments, as well as our chemistry with each other that is evident on stage. All of us have a very strong background in music, and collectively have performed at many venues across the United States.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
We are scheduled to go on tour this spring in Japan! We will playing in three cities including Tokyo and Osaka. Also, the girls all have a background in performing. Kaia, our vocalist/guitarist has performed in many school musicals at her top rated performing arts school. Miya, our bassist, has performed on stage with the legendary band Steel Pulse! And Zoe, our drummer, had a large supporting role in Wes Anderson’s movie, Asteroid City, where she acted alongside Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, and many more.
