Daily Inspiration: Meet Mehdi Pakzad

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mehdi Pakzad

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I came from poverty, not just financial but mostly mentally. We can’t do it. Respect your aunt and uncle even if they are bad. Apply for a job and alike. I was raised in an environment where anger was a factor of high seriousness and prestige. Completely wrong attitude toward success.
Believe it or not, I was looking to be a great person when I was a little boy, but no one around me was able to teach me how. I didn’t actually have any success around me, not even a partially successful person.
I was looking for success in a wrong direction, in education career, in university with bachelor’s degrees, then Master’s degree.
I graduated in 2016 with Master’s degree in electrical engineering. I was even accepted by two universities for PhD. But at the same time my U.S. visa was available, so I decided to emigrate to the U.S.
Working in the U.S. with minimum wage with Master’s degree. What an awful experience it was. I was looking to go to university and continue my education. Took GRE and TOEFL to be able to convert my degrees to U.S. educational system and continue my education.
Long story short, I was looking to be a great person in a wrong direction. Until I read a book called Magic of Self Direction, then Magic of Getting What You Want, by Dr. Schwartz . Then end up reading over 700 books on leadership, neurology, psychology, relationships and personal and business development.
Finally, I was able to find how to become great at age 34. And put what really takes to become successful in a valuable book, THE STATE OF WINNING: The Science of Greatness and Power….
I was heavily addicted to cigarettes, I mean heavily. I had to smoke every 20 minutes from age 18 to 33. According to studies, nicotine is as addictive as Cocaine, and success rate of quitting is only 5 percent. 60 percent out of that 5 percent relapse white in a year. But I quit smoking after almost 16 years easily without any problems and emotional withdrawal.
I have 20+ years of failures experience, failure after failure after failure. Wrong attitude toward almost everything.
I have outlined how to quit addiction in my book, so other people can learn it. My book is really a comprehensive source of knowledge for those who want to feel the state of greatness.
How to control fear, anger, emotion intelligence, financial language and many other topics have covered in The State of Winning.
And we’re just opening master classes to share with people how to achieve The State of Winning.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like I said in a part of my story, I was in a very wrong direction, so no matter smooth or obstacles, the end result would be failure or at most mediocre life.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an investor mostly in U.S. stock market. And private portfolio manager. Setting up retirement accounts or IRA, Roth IRA and personal. And as mentioned before, plan to open my master classes.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Probably the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively.
