Daily Inspiration: Meet Sabrina Covington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Covington.

Sabrina, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I will post my professional bio below. What is not said in my bio and is more interesting about my story is what really drives me. In 2007 my house burned down. I had two small children and was working in real estate. My second daughter was born with a fairly unusual disability. My spouse at the time was unsupportive and I was essentially on my own. This is the drive that I still have today. To support my family and thrive in my career. I seek to inspire myself and others every day!

What does it mean to work with a real estate team? Simply put, working with a team benefits you! For sellers, you will have a dedicated listing agent and a partner agent managing your sale. Other team members provide backup support for showings, inspections, and open houses. For buyers, it means when you want to see a house – you will see that house! Overall, when you get our team you get answered phone calls, replied texts and a team member to serve you.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not smooth at all. I had to take my kids to many real estate events. One time I bought a new car to access a listing that had a mountain road. I didn’t get the Listing ha ha! There were times I sold real estate and also had another job, but tried to cover it up from my clients. There was a time when I was married where my husband tore out our bathroom and we only had wood-burning heat. I still thrived and continued to sell real estate even though I was caring for two small children. So many struggles!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
What sets me apart from others is I believe in the artistic form of real estate? Each transaction is like a blank piece of art. Maybe a film or a painting would describe each transaction. Contracts can be seen like a screenplay and we are the director. There’s no way to know how a client journey or transaction will turn out until we have the final piece.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Bring light into every day and try to forget your stories and programs!
