Daily Inspiration: Meet Saige Rouze

Today we’d like to introduce you to Saige Rouze.

Arid Collective started out in 2017 as small gifts for loved ones. Slowly and organically, it expanded by the sheer joy of sharing healing gifts with others. Saige, being on a spiritual journey herself, began to meditate and work with crystals more seriously, infusing healing energy into the jewelry she created. Just this year, Saige became a reiki master and now enjoys infusing reiki and amplifying the metaphysical properties of each crystal.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road is never smooth when it comes to owning your own business. Arid has relocated from Wisconsin to California and has been on and off for some time due to this. Aside, being a one man band has its shortcomings. Financing, invoices, tagging, and other mundane parts of the job hasn’t always been easy (and not all that exciting). Balancing work and life isn’t easy as a jeweler, and can be so much harder when you love what you do. Pulling myself away from it all is the hardest part. Just this year, Arid relaunched their official website. As a graphic designer and jewelry designer, my perfectionism is what keeps me constantly working.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I wear many hats! I specialize in healing and jewelry but enjoy taking on freelance graphic design clients as well. I am a reiki master healer, psychic intuitive, and infuse these practices into my jewelry and custom malas. I am most proud of the healing energy and love I bring into everything I do. To share ideas of mindfulness and healing with others through all forms is what brings me the most joy. What sets me apart is that I don’t make jewelry to make jewelry. I make jewelry to heal others. I make jewelry to help remind others that they are powerful in the cocreation of their reality. I want to empower everyone to walk their sacred path with fire, love, and confidence.

What are your plans for the future?
A big shift for Arid Collective will be in starting to host mala making workshops. So many inquiries on malas have been coming up- as it turns out, so many are curious to create their own special prayer beads. These workshops will be centered around the power of intention, metaphysical properties of crystals, and the meaning of the japa mala. These events will be posted onto aridcollective.com and on our Instagram @aridcollective.com, as well as any upcoming markets and shows.

Pricing:

  • Jewelry: $30-$60
  • Custom Malas: $35-150
