Hi Sandy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
After discovering how non-invasive treatments could contour the body, I decided to open my own boutique spa to share this amazing new option with my friends and family. Word spread quickly, and before I knew it, friends of friends were asking for appointments. At this stage, I realized it was time to take my passion further, so I expanded Chica’s Beauty and created a brand where all women feel honored, embraced, and comfortable just the way they are.
The truth is, we live in a world that often places unrealistic beauty standards on women, and the pressure can be overwhelming. With this in mind, I set out to build a brand of sculpt wear that hugs all the right places, helping the everyday woman look and feel her best. Even though I had no experience in the industry, I started by reaching out to manufacturer clients I had worked with in my previous business career and sharing my dream. The first sculpt-wear piece, a tummy control legging was offered to my friends and clients, and it sold out in just a week, all through word-of-mouth!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Balancing cost and premium quality is always a challenge. As a small brand, achieving the right order volumes to secure the best prices and sourcing the perfect fabrics has been a hurdle. However, we’re grateful to share that our organic growth has made these processes smoother over time. We sincerely thank every one of our customers for placing their trust in us and returning to shop with us again and again, it truly means the world!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I began my career in the corporate world in San Diego before transitioning to life as a stay-at-home mom with my two incredible children. Embracing this significant but rewarding shift, I launched a fitness business designed for new moms, creating a space where women could connect, socialize, and stay active with their babies.
With a strong focus on growth and purpose, I later founded Chica’s Beauty—a brand built to empower and unite women who want to look and feel their best.
Holding a BA in Business and a Master’s in Marketing, I have always been passionate about building community and uplifting others. I’m continually drawn to projects that align with these values, allowing me to create meaningful connections and make a positive impact.
What does success mean to you?
I believe success is about being happy and healthy, inside and out. We’re here to lift women up, making sure they feel seen, heard, and full of confidence!
