Hi Sonja, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a native Cali girl. Born & raised in Northern California & grew up in Southern California, San Diego. I have lived here for 31 years. I have had some cool jobs along the way. One was working for CNN, but did not have to commute to LA. Got to work out of a beautiful house in Rancho Santa Fe. I was the executive assistant to the senior EP of Larry King Live. Really great experience!
And about 4 years ago, I found myself asking ‘what the heck am I going to do’? I had just been laid off from my job. My beloved dog Hercules passed away. My Dad was diagnosed with cancer. Starting my own business just made sense.
Now 4 years later, I am so happy & my business is doing well. I’m very grateful that most of my clients are referrals. Which to me is the most flattering!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Well, the lovely pandemic pretty much took my business away for 2020. I still had some dog walks & that was about it. Major loss of business! Nobody was traveling, so no dogs to watch! But now, stronger than ever!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a dog walker & dog sitter. I have them at my house & take care of them like they are mine. What sets me apart is that I really love what I do & really care about the dogs! This is not about making a ton of money; it’s about helping people & loving their dogs!
