Today we’d like to introduce you to Your Design Pals.
Hello Your Design Pals, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We are three graphic designers: Parker, Louis, and Bryan. We own a small design collective called “Your Design Pals.” We all graduated from the same graphic design program at San Diego City College in 2020. For several years now, we have worked together as a team for clients such as North Park Main Street, Rancho Santa Fe Association, Ignyte Brands, and Mother Sponge. We have found our arrangement to be very beneficial working with clients, as the collaboration helps us make the best design work possible. We believe that when you invest in your business, it is important to find the right partners. Each pal brings a different skillset and unique perspective to the table, creating thoughtful and elevated designs.
Louis (Lou-ee) currently works at Ignyte Brands as a contract graphic designer creating brand identities from start to finish. He has worked closely with Parker since 2019. Before his design work, Louis was a professional baker and cake decorator. Louis is also originally from Baja California, Mexico, and speaks fluent Spanish.
Parker currently works for Sonos as a digital designer working on their website and emails. In addition to a design degree, Parker has a Bachelor’s in Marketing and Management from ASU. Before design, she was an SEO Specialist at Elevated Marketing for 4 years.
Bryan currently works for Ten Gun Design as a designer creating and managing digital assets for Xbox and Minecraft’s websites and emails. Previously, he worked for Blind Tiger, creating beautiful beer labels with unique illustrations. In addition to being a graphic designer, he is a very talented illustrator and photographer. Bryan used to be an Aviation Mechanic for the US Navy.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were definitely struggles in the beginning as we built our process, learned about running a business, and were trying to get our names out there. We had to form new connections in order to expand our reach. Being fresh out of design school, this was a bit frightening, but by working together our team reached out and formed relationships with now-satisfied clients. We continue to learn and grow every day!

As a team of three passionate designers, we listen, solve problems and build brands that take businesses to whole new heights. With our collaborative approach, Pals helps clients create the brand they’ve always dreamed of! We provide digital design, print design, packaging, and illustrations.
Before starting a project, we always provide our clients with a detailed estimate and contract outlining our process: what happens before, during, and after. That way there are no surprises.
What’s next?
We want Your Design Pals to grow, and we hope to eventually make it our full-time and sole professional focus. We wish to reach a point where we can open our own design studio here in San Diego. We want to expand our list of services and continue to work with local organizations and businesses.
