Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolyn Phung
Hi Carolyn, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I wish I could tell you that I grew up spiritually aware and was always Awake, but I can’t. My journey started when my good friend passed away almost three years ago of esophageal cancer. I wanted to know where he went in the afterlife, I wanted to know if he was still in pain and suffering or was, he safe, and healthy and most importantly happy. So, I did what many people do, I went to a medium. Not just any medium, I went to a childhood friend that specializes in connecting with our past love ones, Reiki energy healing and connecting with Angels. Her name is Melanie Esperon of Reiki Room San Diego. I connected with my friend and even more…. I connected to my guardian Angels, which ultimately led me on the path to where I am today. Little did I know at the time, that this session with the medium would start something that I couldn’t stop; my own journey of healing opened up for me. Following this new healing path, I found my calling to heal others through Reiki and creating products that help others work through grief, healing and incorporate energy work in their daily meditation practices. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation, which also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress. If “life force energy” is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I find that life’s journey is a consistent chipping away, and sometimes changing direction onto a different path. That’s how I feel with Road to Reiki. What started off with providing Reiki energy healing to clients led to designing and developing products to compliment my client’s spiritual practice. The products continue to evolve, which in a healing practice translates to growth. There is always room for continued spiritual growth and creating new fun and exciting products. A candle for example is not just a candle that is poured into a container; there is an art in the making of each individual candle. The heart and soul of these creations is to heal and bring joy to the beholder.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
In the past year, I started a new business to elevate clients own spiritual path, Road to Reiki. I am Reiki Master Teacher who provides energy healing and Angelic guidance. To further support clients, I also created Reiki infused products such as earrings, smudge sprays, spiritual sea soaks, crystal bracelets, and candles. Road to Reiki products can be found on my online store and across San Diego stores such as, The House of Plants, The Little Shop, Grossmont Market Place and The Vervor Shop.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
With any growing business it is so important to have a solid support system. At first, I felt apprehensive to start my own business. I doubted myself and this new path. Overtime I learned to trust my Angels and spirit guides and continued to grow my expertise and practice. My success with Road to Reiki would not be where it is today without the loving support of my husband, two young sons, family, and friends. Above anything else, I am a mother, a wife, a friend, a healer, a light worker. What I create and continue to create comes with so much love and the intent of the greatest good for the person that is purchasing.
