Exploring Life & Business with Joshua Stipcich of Tidemark Financial Partners

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Stipcich.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Originally from Montana. I moved down to CA back in 2005. I worked for Wells Fargo for a year before I took the leap into financial planning. I started with a small broker-dealer and then in 2008, right before the financial crisis, I went independent and moved my business to LPL.

From 2008-1014 I primarily worked by myself, but then I formed a partnership and from there, we decided to build our own team of advisors and help not only kids that are just recently graduating but also try and expand here in San Diego Market. Now we have a team of six advisors and two assistants and continue to grow at a very rapid pace.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My profession definitely has its ups and downs, but from an aspect of struggles, I think of it more like a challenge. We have had to continue to adapt our business model and look for other ways to grow. The Pandemic could have been a major buzz kill to our business, but instead, it made us think outside of the box and I had to find ways to help our team adapt and continue to grow.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Finding the right fit for you and what it is you are looking at accomplishing. Never think that you are bigger than you really are, but if you continue to push and find ways to grow as a person, it will help you significantly grow your business.
