Hi Adam, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We are Adam and Kristen Boyar Co-founders of Cross Roots Juice and we are on a mission to help the world live healthier, happier lives without having to fight confusion about what is healthy.
Most of our adult lives have touched the food and beverage industry. We love taking care of people and solving problems while exceeding expectations.
Our issue has always come back down to lack of options for those who want to make healthy choices.
So, we did something about it.
We were tired of not being able to find great, nutritious juice, and we knew that producing it at home was difficult and time-consuming for most people. Now we’re trying to solve this problem for lots of people by delivering organic, cold-pressed juice right to your door.
Cross Roots Juice is a small business with big ideas – the most important of which is creating an environment where people are happy and healthy. Our slogan “do what matters” reflects our business philosophy.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My goodness! Many of our challenges have become opportunities. We’ve gone from garage pressing to a commercial kitchen and are now in a fantastic shared production environment.
Finding employees, maintaining product consistency, marketing, and delivery are just some of the obstacles we’ve had to deal with.
Along the way have been figuring out how to scale our company from a small production model with limited resources to a larger operation without losing the passion and compromising the integrity of our juice.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We deliver cold-pressed juice to your San Diego home or office doorstep. Organic local produce, raw (never pasteurized), in glass jars.
Twenty years ago, we planted our roots in San Diego. Our motivation for health and wellness stemmed from our experience in the food and beverage industry for more than two decades. As our knowledge base grew alongside our family, we began to uncover a massive gap between the perception and reality of healthy food and beverage.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Integrity: We, too, are consumers of the health industry, and we understand how difficult it is to go through it as a customer. We’ve made our sources and juices available to all. When we say we’ll do something, we mean it.
Connection: We are a community-driven business. We care about supporting, educating, and strengthening our communities to be proactive in promoting health.
Passion: We take pride in what we do and we love juice! We are our own biggest raving fan. With each bottle, our community will fall in love with our juices too!
Excellence: Our juice should always taste delicious! It’s that simple.
Growth: We learn from our mistakes and we improve as a result. We are always learning and testing in order to improve for our consumers and each other.
