Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Herring.
Hi Ashley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a licensed cosmetologist who has been working as an esthetician doing full body waxing for 11 years now. I decided to open my business a few months before Covid and despite all the bumps in the road and the salon closures, I was able to reopen my business and continue to grow.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I decided to go off in my own as a solo esthetician in 2020 a few months prior to Covid, which lead to the salon closures. My business was closed for 5 months. That was definitely the first bump in the road. I was still paying my salon rent, unable to take any clients. Once salons were able to open back up I slowly built up my business hardly making any profit for the first year or so
We’ve been impressed with Ashthetic Beauty Waxing, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m an esthetician. I specialize in full body waxing for both men and women. I love building relationships with each one of my clients and being able to make them feel more confident in their own skin
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Don’t give up! Clientele does not come easy. Strangers will be your biggest supporters and form of advertising.
