Exploring Life & Business with Cinderella De Groot of Divine Light Collective

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cinderella De Groot.

Hi Cinderella, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I didn’t set out to build a career in transformation work, it unfolded through my own life.

Before stepping fully into this field, I was an internationally active dancer and instructor for over two decades. Movement was my first language of healing. It taught me how emotion lives in the body, how energy shifts through expression, and how identity can be reshaped from the inside out. Later, I built and ran a tourism business abroad, navigating leadership, reinvention, and eventually closure during a major global shift.

Like many women, I experienced profound transitions, heartbreak, relocation across continents, loss of stability, rebuilding as a mother and entrepreneur. Those chapters forced me to move beyond mindset work and into nervous system healing, somatic regulation, and deeper psychological understanding. I became certified in polyvagal-informed practice and expanded into integrating neuropsychology, embodiment, and intuitive work.

Today, I guide women through identity shifts, separation, burnout, and emotional recalibration. My work blends science and intuition, nervous system regulation, somatic rewiring, and energetic awareness, to help women move from emotional reactivity into grounded, self-led clarity. Everything I teach is lived first. I know what it means to rebuild, not once, but multiple times, and to do so consciously.

That lived experience is what shapes the work I offer now.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, especially in the wellness space, I’ve had seasons of uncertainty, financial instability, rebuilding after major life transitions, and moments of questioning whether I was choosing the harder path on purpose.

Closing a business I had built, navigating divorce, relocating, and raising children while starting over professionally required more than resilience, it required deep internal recalibration. There were times when I had to confront my own patterns around overworking, overgiving, and trying to prove my worth through productivity. Building a purpose-driven business while healing personally is not linear.

One of the biggest challenges has been trusting my long-term vision when short-term results felt slow. But those periods forced me to refine my work, clarify my voice, and strengthen my nervous system capacity. Looking back, the obstacles weren’t detours, they were the training ground. They shaped the depth, steadiness, and integrity I bring to my clients today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Divine Light Collective?
Divine Light Collective is a transformational space for women navigating identity shifts, whether through separation, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or simply outgrowing a former version of themselves. I specialize in nervous system regulation, somatic rewiring, and intuitive pattern recognition. In simple terms, I help women understand why they react the way they do, where those patterns were formed, and how to consciously change them — not just mentally, but at the level of the body.

What sets my work apart is the integration of science and intuition. I draw from polyvagal-informed nervous system work and modern psychological frameworks, while also working intuitively with emotional energy and embodied awareness. Many women have insight into their patterns; fewer know how to shift them. My approach focuses on helping clients feel safe enough in their bodies to actually create lasting change, rather than constantly cycling through awareness without transformation.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that my work doesn’t create dependency, it creates capacity. Women leave my programs more grounded, clearer in their identity, and more self-led. My offerings range from private 1:1 sessions and integration work to group programs and transformational workshops. Everything is built around one core principle: real change happens when the nervous system, the mind, and intuition are working together.

I want readers to know that this isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about recalibrating how you relate to yourself — so your next chapter is built from alignment, not reaction

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that building something meaningful takes longer than you think, and that’s not a sign you’re failing. When I first started, I believed that if I worked hard enough, invested enough, or pushed enough, growth would follow quickly. What I’ve come to understand is that depth takes time. Clarity takes time. Trust takes time.

I also wish I had understood earlier that your nervous system matters just as much as your strategy. You can’t sustainably build a business (or a life) from constant urgency. Learning to regulate, slow down, and make decisions from steadiness rather than fear changed everything for me.

My advice to anyone starting out is this: focus less on proving yourself and more on refining your voice. Build capacity before you chase visibility. And trust that the challenges you encounter are shaping the exact resilience and depth you’ll one day teach from.

Success built from alignment lasts. Success built from pressure eventually cracks.
