Hi Courtney & Lauren , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Introducing Lauren Caldwell and Courtney Roth, the dynamic duo behind Clark & Co boutique. Raised in sunny Southern California as part of the Clark Crew, with older siblings Jeff and Carrie, these sisters have always had a passion for fashion.
Lauren, now a stay-at-home mom to five wonderful kids, and Courtney, a talented hairdresser and mother of four, decided to turn their shared love for styling and clothing into a business. After much dreaming and prayer, Clark & Co boutique was born. Their mission? To provide stylish clothing to their friends and family, all while spreading love and faith. Inspired by the verse from Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am among them,” Lauren and Courtney are dedicated to living out their beliefs and sharing the joy of fashion and faith with others. The Clark Girls are thrilled to invite you on this journey with them, and can’t wait for you to explore their carefully curated collection. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been easy. We have no idea what we were doing and learned as we went. Literally learning something new everyday. Teaching ourselves as much as we can. Taking classes, reading online etc.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Clark & Co boutique ?
What sets us apart is we are two moms in our 40s who wanted to start something for ourselves and we have a love for fashion and a heart for people. We love the Lord and wanted to be able to connect with others and share his love within our community. We are an online only boutique as of right now but we also love to work with small businesses in our area and have events with them. We are so proud of how far we have come in only a year of business but we have a long ways to go, we would love to get the Clark & Co name out there to others not just in Murrieta! We hand pick each item and only keep things we absolutely love, we try to keep the price point good so everyone has the opportunity to shop with us. You will most likely not find another boutique that picks each item specifically for each customer. As sisters who are also best friends we love to make people laugh through our reels we make on Instagram.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
First of all our husbands & families are our biggest support and cheerleaders. They let us be crazy and have all these crazy visions! We have had other local small business owners who have supported us and cheered us on along the way. Our friend Kelly who owns a small home shoppe has let us call her at anytime & also hold events at her shop. Our best friend who also makes our candles with Ross & Lee has walked side by side with us. So many local businesses have offered support to us. And our small community of friends have been the best support. They shop with us & spread our name to everyone they know
