Today we’d like to introduce you to Elle Dieterich
Hi Elle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Since I was 16, I’ve loved makeup—2016 makeup YouTube videos were my kryptonite. I worked at Ulta until the pandemic hit and I lost my job. I took this opportunity to attend esthetician school, and over time, I found myself more drawn to the idea of healing the skin rather than just focusing on the aesthetics of makeup.
However, in my late teens and early 20s, I struggled with addiction and substance abuse for several years. In 2022, I finally got sober, and that turning point in my life changed everything. During this time of recovery and reflection, I realized how crucial it was to focus not just on healing the outside, but also on the inner healing that was essential for my well-being.
Getting sober while pursuing a new career was an incredibly difficult yet necessary journey, as I had to rebuild both my life and my professional path from the ground up. I worked in over five different positions, gaining hands-on experience with various skin types and conditions. Despite the growth and knowledge I was gaining, something still didn’t feel fully aligned with my true purpose. I wasn’t at peace with the work I was doing until I created a space that genuinely reflected my journey and personal healing process. That’s when I decided to open my own business.
My business was initially centered around acne treatment. I personally struggled with acne, and I wanted to help others who were going through the same challenges. But the more I learned about the body and mind, the more I realized there was a deeper, more holistic approach to healing. Over time, my focus expanded beyond just the skin to encompass holistic health—mental and physical wellness, lab testing, and finding the optimal way to heal from the inside out.
What truly excites me now is that my practice isn’t just about fixing acne or improving skin; it’s about creating a space where people can grow, heal, and align with their highest potential—both mentally and physically. I believe that true wellness starts from within, and I want to help others cultivate that holistic growth, not only through skincare but through their overall health journey.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
You’d think the challenges I face would be things like finding my niche in my career path, managing money, time management, and finding the best marketing strategies to get my business fully booked—and yes, those are all part of the equation. But in reality, the biggest challenge has been my own personal growth and how it affects every aspect of my life. It’s about how my internal struggles and limiting beliefs manifest in my daily actions, relationships, and especially in my business.
Getting sober was a huge part of this journey. It was a turning point for me to face my fears, insecurities, take accountability, learn responsibilities, find purpose and more. Navigating this journey of self-discovery and growth has been far more complex than simply tackling external challenges. It’s about overcoming the doubts, fears, and resistance I’ve faced within myself that have held me back. This ongoing process of evolving and building faith in myself is truly the heart of the challenge, and it’s something that continuously shapes both my business and my life.
I have a love-hate relationship with obstacles and challenges. On one hand, they can feel incredibly uncomfortable and overwhelming, pushing me out of my comfort zone in ways I don’t always want to go. But on the other hand, I’ve learned to find great strength and resilience in each challenge. My sobriety, in particular, has shown me how powerful it is to face obstacles head-on, even when they seem insurmountable. With every obstacle I face, I uncover new layers of myself and grow in ways I never expected. Each challenge, no matter how difficult, has a way of building me up, teaching me lessons I wouldn’t have learned otherwise.
It’s unrealistic to expect life to be completely free of bumps in the road. The truth is, challenges are a natural part of the journey, and they often reveal the most about who we are and what we’re capable of. The biggest learning curve I’ve encountered has been discovering more about myself—understanding my deepest fears, healing my trauma, confronting the limiting beliefs that once held me back, and embracing the strength I’ve gained through my sobriety. Through this process, I’ve learned to embrace my imperfections and flaws, recognizing that they don’t define me but instead help shape who I am becoming.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am a licensed esthetician and integrative health practitioner. I help women start their healing journey, whatever that may look like for them—whether it’s implementing healthy habits like proper water intake, managing stress, improving sleep, or building a personalized nutritional plan. I focus on the most realistic and least overwhelming ways to make these changes. My approach is to meet people where they are—no crazy protocols or restrictive diets. My goal is to create long-lasting results, not just a quick fix or a one-size-fits-all one and done program.
I want everyone who walks through my door to leave with as much knowledge as I have. I empower women to learn for themselves, restoring faith and trust in their own ability to heal. I offer both in-person services in Solana Beach and virtual options.
I offer facials, epigenetic testing, and virtual programs. Custom facials focus on both results-driven care and relaxation, addressing the skin topically to achieve healthy skin and nurturing the soul internally. My most popular facial is the Glacial Treatment, a precision cooling treatment using cryotherapy to promote healthier skin from within. The treatment reveals brighter skin, targets inflammation, redness, and acne, evens out skin tone, and accelerates exfoliation, all with zero downtime. It’s suitable for everyone.
I also offer a service called a hair scan, which uses epigenetic testing. Epigenetics are influenced by our lifestyle, diet, and environment. This is an especially helpful tool for those starting their healing journey because a personalized epigenetic report helps you understand how to create optimal physical, mental, and emotional wellness through specific nutrition and daily habits
In addition, I have a virtual program and app that anyone can join. It offers a community of like-minded women, along with videos and worksheets to learn about optimal human health and how to integrate it into your unique life. My virtual program also includes skincare advice, and together, we work 1:1 to help you align your health and wellness journey.
