Today we’d like to introduce you to Haley Gonzalez
Hi Haley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
House of Homebody started as a way to bring more intention and warmth into real estate gifting. Growing up in a real estate family and managing operations for our brokerage, I saw firsthand how much care and effort goes into building strong client relationships. A closing is more than just a transaction—it’s a milestone, a new chapter, and a moment worth celebrating.
While traditional gifting has always been part of the industry, I noticed an opportunity to take it a step further—to create gifts that truly resonate, that feel like an extension of the home itself. I started by curating housewarming gifts for real estate professionals who wanted their client appreciation to feel as special as the journey they shared. Thoughtful, intentional gifting creates a story that resonates, building deeper and lasting client relationships. Over time, House of Homebody evolved into offering various collections of home decor and bundles designed to evoke emotion, warmth, and a sense of home.
At the core of my business is the belief that a home is more than just a space—it’s where life happens. Whether for a Realtor celebrating a client’s closing or a homebody looking to add meaningful pieces to their space, every bundle is thoughtfully curated to turn a house into a home.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like any small business, the journey with House of Homebody has come with its challenges, but each one has pushed me to grow in ways I never expected. I anticipated a learning curve when it came to inventory management, but I didn’t realize just how many variables and detailed logistics would be involved—especially when sourcing multiple items for each individual bundle. Understanding accounting and financial implications, managing cash flow, forecasting demand, and ensuring every piece fits seamlessly into the bigger picture has been a huge learning curve.
There is a lot of different hats a product-based small business owner has to wear. I’m extremely detail-oriented and highly aware of every moving part in my business, which is both a strength and a challenge. In the beginning, it was difficult to get comfortable with the constant obstacles that would delay execution, but over time, I’ve learned to embrace the curveballs. Now, I don’t let challenges phase me as easily, and I’ve become more adaptable, knowing that problem-solving is just part of the job and journey.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about House of Homebody?

I specialize in ready-to-gift curated decor bundles, each carefully designed to evoke emotion, warmth, and a sense of belonging. Whether it’s for a housewarming, client appreciation, or simply adding meaningful decor to your own space, my bundles create a gifting experience that feels personal and memorable.
What sets House of Homebody apart is the intention behind every bundle. It’s not just about curating beautiful pieces—it’s about storytelling, creating a moment that resonates, and offering gifts that feel as special as the occasion itself. Every detail, from the curation to the packaging, is designed with purpose, ensuring the recipient feels truly seen and appreciated.
In addition to my signature bundles, I offer:
·Build Your Own Bundle – A pop-up market favorite where customers can personally select decor pieces to create a custom gift basket or elevate their own home.
·Custom Gifting – A collaborative service for larger projects, perfect for real estate client appreciation, events, and holiday gifting, where I design a unique theme tailored to the occasion and/or needs.
I take pride in redefining home decor gifting with pieces that enhance a space and hold sentimental value. At the core of House of Homebody is the belief that a home is sacred—it’s where life happens, memories are made, and comfort is found. Every bundle is more than just decor; it’s an experience that turns a house into a home.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Starting a product-based business takes a lot of research and comes with plenty of trial and error. There’s no one-size-fits-all blueprint—what works for someone else may not work for you. Be prepared to test, pivot, and learn as you go.
Entrepreneurship can feel lonely at times, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s easy to think you have to figure it all out alone, but asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. Keep moving forward, even when you don’t have all the answers.
For the perfectionists and over-thinkers (like me)—choose peace over perfection. Overanalyzing can slow you down. Focus on progress, not perfection, and execute faster. You’ll learn and improve along the way.
The best advice? Start before you feel ready, stay adaptable, and trust the process. Every challenge is a stepping stone to growth.
