Today we’d like to introduce you to Izhak Shmuealevich.
Hi Izhak, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was always involved in construction and design. There are a few Architects in my family, so seeing people turn ‘ugly things’ beautiful was the norm. For years, I flipped homes and took great pride in the results. That sense of accomplishment inspired me to help others experience the same feeling—so I turned it into a business. Now, my clients get to share in that pride with their remodels.
How did you get to where you are: With my car! We prioritize quality and customer satisfaction, as opposed to other companies that may push quantity through advertising. I believe that our clients are the most important aspect that has led me here.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
A smooth road was never in the plans because construction comes with its fair share of bumps in the road. A challenge I’ve faced was regulations that could limit the scope of projects, because regulations can hold us back from reaching certain goals in some projects. Internationally, there are communities and countries that have large-scale projects that cannot be achieved here because of regulatory limitations. Another challenge was finding a good team, which is what every good company needs, because we are nothing without a great team.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Our business started in 2018, and one of our goals has been to grow steadily. We are a small business that focuses on quality and unique projects. We like to incorporate the client’s wishes and bring them to life. Although we are not the cheapest option, our final products always show the heart that we put into our work. For services, we do anything that comes with home renovations. Most of our work has been with kitchens and bathrooms, but we have experience in entire home remodels, ADUs, and large decks, custom to each client’s desire. Our team is what sets us apart from others. We are very particular with who we choose for our team, so from our office to the field, our workers are of high standard. There is much to be proud of when you pride yourself on making your customers happy and having a good reputation; a testament to that is the number of referrals we get from past customers through word of mouth. For our readers, it’s important to understand that we may not be the right fit for every project—and not every project is the right fit for us. We fully embrace this, as it allows us to dedicate our time and energy to work we genuinely believe in, ensuring we can stand behind every project with confidence and integrity. We strive to earn the trust of our customers and community, ensuring they feel at ease and secure with their projects in our hands.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters to me is making the best of what is given to me- always making lemonade from lemons. When running a business, one always has to focus on bringing in money, and customer satisfaction is the best marketing tactic that I know of. Making customers happy and leaving them with a smile, despite the bumps we face together, is always important. Another key priority is supporting my team. Running this business allows me to create meaningful employment opportunities, impacting many families.
