Exploring Life & Business with Jenna Miller of Jenna Miller Yoga + Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenna Miller.

Jenna Miller

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was first introduced to natural and alternative therapies in college when I started using herbs to resolve some minor health issues. But it wasn’t until I became a yoga teacher that I connected the things I ate with the way I felt. Dealing with my own gut and hormone healing spurred me to continue learning about nutrition and to keep experimenting on myself, putting my accumulated knowledge into action. Now, I teach these skills to other women, helping them find a more balanced mood, sustained energy, and overall improvement in health.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Having a general interest in herbs, yoga, and nutrition is different from knowing which tools to employ. Early in my yoga career, I began struggling with my mood, energy, and mental clarity. The suggestion I got from well-meaning health practitioners was, “You should meditate more.”

Despite my best efforts, meditation did not solve my problems. I spent a lot of time feeling defeated and not good enough when what I really needed was to replenish my physical body. Changing my diet and incorporating herbs to support my exhausted nervous system got me back on my feet again.

I’ve always used myself as a guinea pig. When I’m working with other women, I am reminded of the mistakes I’ve made along the way and the wisdom I earned the hard way!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
I help women regain sustained energy, mental clarity, and balanced mood using nutrition and yoga.

We’re often given the message that feeling drained, achy, bloated, foggy-headed, anxious, or depressed is part of getting older. But learning how to support your body naturally can reverse inflammation, nourish all body systems, and resolve symptoms. Yoga and nutrition go hand-in-hand when it comes to creating a healing environment that’s key for recovery.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Keep going! There will be bumps and detours along the way but keep going.
