Today we’d like to introduce you to Jezabell Wallace.
Hi Jezabell, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started very small with very little. I am a huge animal lover, and I’ve always wanted to help people with pets that others aren’t so willing to work with. I started working with Rover to build my profile and get myself out there. I have an American Staffordshire Terrier and a Doberman. They can be frightening at first, but they are so loving and welcome everyone who meets them. I have over 23+ clients today and plan on expanding as time goes on. My main goal is owning my own business. I am currently in school for dog grooming and can’t wait to see what my future holds.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a very smooth ride for me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I do boarding for all kinds of dogs. I also take in dogs with less admirable behavioral characteristics. So, I require private bookings for them, so I can work with these four babies and I can give them my undivided attention and socialize them to the best of my abilities. I feel that is what makes me different from others. I will never turn a person and their pet down because of their behavior issues. I believe I can help those who are in need of someone with patience. I have reached many milestones over the last year. Examples being helping pets with separation anxiety, crate training, socialization, and even potty training.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
It is okay to say no. Sometimes we want to help everyone, and that’s isn’t a bad thing but don’t force yourself to take on a challenge you know that you will not be able to handle. Do what you can and keep moving forward, don’t let that discourage you.
