Hi Kate, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My passion for helping clients with their skin began a few years ago when I realized I wanted to be part of the beauty industry—a field I had always admired. It seemed like one of those rare careers where you could work without it feeling like “work.”
Before becoming an esthetician, I wore many hats—painting houses, cleaning, working in restaurants, and navigating sales. While each role taught me valuable lessons, I always felt a deeper calling to do more, to help more, and to truly make a difference. I craved a career that brought out my truest, most authentic self, and I found that in the beauty industry.
Becoming an esthetician allowed me to combine my passion for helping people with my love for skincare. There’s nothing more fulfilling than holding up a mirror and watching someone’s eyes light up with confidence and joy after a long journey of struggling with their skin. Knowing I played a part in their transformation—inside and out—is the most rewarding experience I’ve ever had.
Being an esthetician isn’t just a job for me; it’s a blessing. It’s my passion, my purpose, and something I’d happily do for free if I could. Helping others feel confident in their skin is the most meaningful work I’ve ever done, and I’m so grateful to do it every day.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Unlike my previous businesses and jobs, the beauty industry holds a completely different meaning for me. Building a clientele hasn’t come as easily as it did with my other ventures, but the work itself is far more rewarding. I would happily take 5 clients a week in this career over 25 in any other, because this work is rooted in passion—and that makes all the difference.
My business is still young, just under a year old, and I know I have a long way to go. But over the past two years, I’ve committed myself to daily education and growth to truly master my craft. Every client who steps into my spa room can feel that dedication in the care and service I provide.

Her Moment Beauty was created to give every person who steps into my space their moment—a moment to relax, indulge in self-care, and escape the chaos of everyday life. It’s about slowing down and prioritizing you.
Skincare and beauty aren’t just about addressing acne or dryness. They’re about restoring hydration, improving circulation, and bringing life and brightness back to your face. Through treatments like lymphatic massage, which I specialize in, I help clients de-puff, boost circulation, and reveal a radiant glow.
But it goes deeper than what happens in my spa room. My goal is to help you feel good every day—from the moment you wake up. As a licensed esthetician, I provide personalized guidance and advice so you can care for your skin at home all year round, not just during monthly facials.

Hearing that my services have helped even one person fills me with happiness, but more importantly, it gives me purpose. Each day, I wake up driven by my mission to help others feel confident in their skin.
