Exploring Life & Business with Kristen Galdamez of Ritual Wellness Collective

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristen Galdamez.

Hi Kristen, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After years in the corporate world, I found myself burnt out, unfulfilled, and out of alignment with how I wanted to live. I knew I wanted to help others, but I also needed to find a way to reconnect with myself and live with more intention.

My introduction to wellness came through a sound bath, which was the first time I truly slowed down and felt present in a long time. Later, while on a trip with my husband, I signed us up for a breathwork class—something he was interested in, and honestly, I thought it was silly. But the experience gave me clarity and space I didn’t know I needed, helping me finalize the decision that it was time to leave my corporate job.

I went on to become a 100-hour certified Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator, and in April 2024, I opened Ritual Wellness Collective, a wellness studio in San Diego created to make wellness accessible, inclusive, and authentic. I envisioned a space where people could come as they are, slow down, and explore practices that support their unique needs—recognizing that wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all.

At Ritual, we offer breathwork, movement, and mindfulness practices to empower individuals to become their own healers, creating daily rituals that nurture the mind, body, and soul in a way that feels realistic and sustainable. My mission has always been to create a welcoming space where people feel safe to reconnect with themselves and discover what balance looks like for them, without the pressure to be perfect.

Today, I feel grateful to hold space for a community that values connection, authenticity, and growth, and I’m honored to share these tools with others who are ready to reconnect with themselves and build a life that feels aligned.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With every new adventure, there are bumps along the road, and building Ritual Wellness Collective has been no different. It hasn’t always been smooth, there have been seasons of low attendance, moments of questioning decisions, missing the stability of a corporate job, and navigating the many moving parts of running a business. Staying balanced while holding true to the mission has been a learning process.

But even with the ups and downs, I’ve learned that challenges are part of growth, not a sign to stop. I find comfort and motivation in knowing I’m on the right path. Being able to make a difference, provide a safe space for people, and see the impact it has on their lives makes it all worth it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Ritual Wellness Collective ?
At Ritual Wellness Collective, we believe wellness is a multifaceted journey, unique to each person. Our doors are open to everyone, exactly as they are, there’s no mold to fit into here. We recognize that what works for one person may not work for another and that your needs can change day to day, which is why we offer a range of accessible tools to support your well-being.

We specialize in breathwork, movement, and mindfulness practices, helping people build sustainable rituals that align with their lifestyle and nurture their mind, body, and soul. Our mission is to empower individuals to become their own healers, creating a safe, welcoming space where you can explore what wellness looks like for you without pressure or judgment.

What sets us apart is the intentional community we’ve created, one that celebrates individual autonomy, encourages exploration, and welcomes skeptics, seekers, and everyone in between. We’re here to support you in making wellness a part of your everyday life in a way that feels authentic and realistic.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that people feel safe and seen when they walk into our space. It’s not about striving for perfection; it’s about helping you reconnect with yourself and find practices that truly support you, whatever season you’re in.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as living authentically, being fully present in each moment, and having a continuous desire to grow and evolve. It’s about choosing joy, staying at peace with yourself, and never losing that willingness to learn and become the best version of yourself.
True success isn’t measured by titles or paychecks, but by the impact you make and the growth you embrace along the way.
