Hi Marcy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been fascinated with everything astrology and tarot since I can remember. I have vivid memories of seeing images as young as five. It wasn’t until I was 30 and living in Hawaii when I finally started to work with my gifts.
Living in Hawaii, I knew that I would experience something magical. In 2014, I bought my first Tarot Deck. This was the beginning of my spiritual journey.
In September 2017, I signed up for a reading at an event with a clairvoyant. At the end of the reading, she said “My guides are telling me that I need to be your mentor, I can help you open up your gifts.” What was my reaction you ask? I freaked out. I laughed and quickly ran away from her booth. Two months after meeting the clairvoyant, I was awakened by severe ear pain and loud ringing in my right ear. I had never in my life had an ear infection. As soon as the doctor looked in my ear, he said that it was one of the worst ear infections he had ever seen. How did this happen? Why did it happen? I knew this was a punishment for running away from the clairvoyant – and running away from my gifts. It was a humbling experience. That was my spiritual awakening moment.
I waited until February 2018 to reach out to the clairvoyant. She remembered me and I said, “I am ready now, but I’m moving back to California. Do we have enough time?” she replied, “Of course we do.” I spent the next ten weeks going to her home for lessons. The biggest thing she taught me was how to learn to listen to my guides and to fully trust my intuition no matter how crazy it looks or sounds.
I then began to develop my own reading style. I was already self-teaching tarot, I learned how to channel with my mentor and from there, I combined both styles of divination. In 2019, I started to dive into understanding astrology. I slowly started to incorporate astrology into my reading style. I realized that my channeling was going further in-depth into the querent’s energy when I would focus on their sun, moon, and rising sign.
Fully settled in California, I met my amazing astrology mentor who told me that there is a term for my gifts which is Psychic Astrology. She said that I use the symbols in astrology to tap into the querent’s energy and activate my psychic gifts that way. When the querent gives me their birth info, it’s like giving me a key to their world. My astrology mentor grounded me and taught me the foundation of astrology and the rest of the information I provide my clients are purely channeled.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was not a smooth road. First, I dealt with coming to terms with these gifts and with no one to help me understand my entire life. I had no family members or friends with similar gifts to guide me. I spent most of my life thinking that any type of divination is the devils work. I spent years working through my belief system and healing my traumas. I had to get out of my own way to step into who I am supposed to be in this life. It’s still an ongoing process of getting out of my way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a one woman show. I am a Psychic Astrologer and Tarot Reader. I am not your traditional astrologer who reads the astrology chart. What I do is look at your astrology chart and receive channeled messages from my spirit guides. This style of reading provides the querent a deeper understanding of themselves. It gives me the ability to understand the querant on a much deeper level which provides me the ability to give them the best insight in their questions. I personally don’t know of anyone else that reads astrology charts the way that I do. When I pull out the tarot cards, they are a tool that provides more details on the situation. The majority of the time the cards validate my channeled messages. My brand is focused on the imagery and significance of the metamorphosis of the butterfly. I have embodied the transformation and when I work with a client, I want them to have the same experience of being able to have their own transformations. Knowledge is power, having a better and deeper understanding of oneself is such a powerful thing to do and that is something I’m proud to share with my clients. Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
The biggest risk was learning to trust myself and no longer second-guess my gut feelings and intuition. To truely go with the flow. I’ll never forget the day when my mentor brought in a complete stranger into the room and I had to use my gifts for the first time. I was shaking uncontrollably and felt like throwing up. The internal fight between with my ego was quite dramatic. I manage to give this stranger an accurate reading. The natural high I felt after was the best feeling in the world and I thrive off that feeling to this day.
