Hi Mireyda, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Started in banking at 19 years old as a teller working my way up to a personal banker for a local credit union, that’s where I started my training and experience as a junior loan/mortgage consultant, in 2013 decided to go specifically into the mortgage industry, started in marketing and also was a loan processor for a year but my real passion was sales and helping clients achieve homeownership goals. In 2016 when I bought my own home with my ex-husband that was in the navy, we used our va loan and I started to see a real need for education and resources for the military community. In 2016, I decided to just focus on va loans and servicing the military community and families just like myself that are looking for guidance. Since 2016, I have helped thousands of families purchase a home using the va home loan benefit. I assist local va focused realtors win deals for their clients and be a great va loan resource for their own community. Recently I have ventured out to assist clients buying out of state but want the service and attention of a local broker.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, anyone that has been in lending/real estate for more than five years can tell you it’s definitely not a smooth road but that’s what I enjoy about it everyday we are tackling different obstacles, meeting new people and helping veterans own a piece of the land they defend. Biggest struggle in our industry is riding out the trends that we don’t control like housing inventory and rates/economy.
