Exploring Life and Business with Nicole Ialeggio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Ialeggio.

Hi Nicole, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
It’s been a whirlwind of a year. I had a baby, started a business, quit my 9-5, and scaled my business to the 6-figure mark. My business honestly started on accident. For a few years, I was a micro-influencer on Instagram. It was a fun way to get some free stuff and extra spending cash, but while I was pregnant with my son, I had a friend reach out to me asking if I could help her with her social media presence. Hmm– intriguing. I decided to take it over for her, and it went GREAT. Major lightbulb moment for me.

So, I bought a course that helped me to figure out how to start a freelancing business, and I did all the things. Ghostwriting, podcast editor, email management, Pinterest management and obviously social media management. Doing all of that was a great experience for me, but I was getting burnt out from doing all the things and not making much money. It wasn’t until my next mentor told me to pick an area and focus on it that I decided to only offer social media and Pinterest marketing services (duh, why didn’t I think of that).

Once I did that, BOOM, my business exploded, and it makes perfect sense. I love social media marketing, and I love helping female business owners up their presence to make an even bigger impact. I have the absolute BEST clients and get so much joy from working with them.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Gosh, definitely not. I remember when my son was only a month old, crying on the floor while holding him (like sobbing, ugly crying). I was a new mom, working for a lot of different clients, trying to keep up a marriage, and stressed out about this business not working. I was only making $1500/month and felt completely lost.

I totally understand why people quit at this level, it’s so scary, but persistence and determination are two qualities that I am so happy to have. I knew I needed more guidance – someone that’s been there before and has overcome obstacles to really help me figure out if I could create a business I love. That’s the next big obstacle; I used all of the money I had made in my business up to that point to work with a mentor, Lucy Vincent. I remember paying that invoice. I thought I was going to throw up – this was months of work and savings all leaving my account. But it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

1:1 Coaching – We get on a video call once a month and go over everything, your strategy, your analytics, what you should be posting, when you should be posting. My clients get to pick my brain with all of their social media questions.

Profitable socials course – A complete-at-your-own-pace course that takes new business owners from clueless about social media marketing to confident and profitable in their social media marketing. It runs you through the exact process I do for my clients without overwhelming them.

How do you define success?
I absolutely love this question. I don’t think success has a monetary value associated. Some people don’t want a million-dollar business, and that is fine!

To me, success means being at a spot in your life where you are truly happy. I consider myself successful not because of the revenue my business brings in but because I put my mind to something and created a business – something I never thought I would do. I get to work wherever there is wifi, with clients I am obsessed with, and I don’t have to put my son in childcare. This is a success to me. It means something different to everyone, and that’s what makes “success” subjective.

Pricing:

  • Profitable Social Media Program – Lifetime Access – $497 one-time payment
